Went to the car wash to clean the engine compartment and did a good hand cleaning on the rear wheel wells. The rain has finally stopped so it’s time to do a deep clean.

unpopular opinion - super shiney tires and plastics look cheesy. . .

:)

It looks really nice though - well done getting in there and cleaning n the wheel well. I always get annoyed at all the little bends at the top of the wheel well and say screw it, it looks good enough. LOL

What tire dressing did you use?

Yes! We have a local farmer/rancher raises beef.....they call us every year asking if we want a beef. Hang weight was 1,281lbs.......butchered weight was 766lbs. The whole beef with processing was about $2,900. Wife figured comes out to about $2.80/lb which might be ok for burger but you can't touch t-bones, sirloins and roasts for that price! Tastes better than what you get at the store too! Big expense but will feed two families for about a year!

Forgot to add........stopped at gun dealer I know......picked up some 9mm brass and 45acp brass so everyone coming for t-bones need to bring their firearms. Ammo is stocked up and the road crews have orange pylons along the hiway out front that make for great targets!

That's not as expensive as I thought. I'll definitely have to look in to it and compare it with just buying a young calf and fattening it up myself. I can do all the processing / butchering

Hmm.

The way grain prices are might be best to get full grown beef. Corn prices are high unless grass fed and grass fed just doesn't taste very good to me! I almost got kicked out of an Outback steakhouse in Las Vegas when they asked me how my steak was......I said OK but it wasn't corn fed beef.....told her tasted like grass fed. She confirmed grass fed from Utah. Told her they'd do better business if they corn fed beef from Nebraska.....she got a lil upset with me! LOL

Growing up my parents would buy half a cow. That was our beef for the year. We knew it was getting to be tough times when we would start having liver and tongue for dinner...

I always tell the guys at the locker to give the tongue and liver away to someone who'll eat the darn stuff! Luckily, I married a good woman who says beef tongue or any other tongue for that matter and liver especially is NOT allowed in the house! LOL

How do y'all store all that meat? Vacuum sealed bags left in a deep freezer?
I used to work in a meat and seafood department for a short while and one of the local farms that had pigs would dedicate a pig or two for our department as they had to close the farm. It really is an art watching a butcher trim and butcher the entire pig....so I can't imagine with a whole cow!
After working in the department, I grew a taste for grass fed beef so would you consider the grass fed similar in taste?

The beef is all wrapped and burger packaged to 1lb packages. We keep ours in 2 freezers in the basement! Corn fed is much better taste than grass fed IMHO. Marbling in meat is from corn and gives it that distinct taste over grass.

No kidding, I buy a pallet of corn a year to keep my deer feeders happy and it's at least tripled in price over the last few years. These deer are lucky they taste so good
