RETIRED!!!!
After my dealings with my 3rd Gen Tacoma you couldn't pay me to test drive another. I'll take my chances on the 10R80 and rather buy an extended warranty. Unless they fixed that God awful seating position in the new Tacoma you'd better have a chiropractor on speed dial! The Ranger is 1000% more comfortable. I'd buy a ZR2 and suffer with bad mpg before I'd drive another Tacoma. Did I tell you how much I hate the Tacoma? ?
I wouldn't be caught dead in a toyota

It's either that or a......Tacoma. :surprised:??
That hypothetical situation made me a bit sick to my stomach. No way in hell would I buy a Taco. But the thought of spending my hard earned money on a bowtie... ouch.

At that point I would just give up on mid-sized trucks and move into a bigger Ford.

Not to derail the thread, but even when traveling for work and I hit the National rental lot, I have two things in mind. (1) What Fords do they have on hand? (2) Does that Mopar have a hemi? :like: (Some do. A very few. But you have to look for them. When the Hemi stars align it makes for a very nice week.)

GM products don't even get a second glance from me at National. I've even been known to grab a Wrangler when the non-GM pickings are slim... just to avoid a bowtie. And who in the hell would rent a Wrangler when you know you have quite a few highway miles in your future for the week?!?!? Not a smart move, but a perfect demonstration of my stance on GM.

Honestly, I don't hate on Chevy. Just truly do not want anything to do with their products. Wish GM owners nothing but the best. Just don't ask me to buy one. Zero hate. Zilch.

As to the Tacos... the hate is real.

I don't mind GM at all. But the only good taco is one you can eat! ?

Between Ford, Chevy and Dodge they each have their own distinctive feel while driving that really hasn’t changed over decades. I’ve driven old and new but again the basic feel is unique to each brand. The Ford hits the sweet spot for me. To each is own, Tacos can change drastically between model years odd.

No Hablo taco….

I think instead of constantly being directed to the 6G forum everyone should be directed to this thread and pics of my new Z71. This way I can stay here and drive my new ride. Plus we all know the new Ranger isn’t near as pretty as my Colorado??

I do not like the look of the new 6G. If I wasn't able to get my Tremor and had to get a 6G I would've definitely bought a ZR2.

You're always welcome to stay and I hope you do. I mean, you didn't buy a Tacoma so there's that! ? I'll see what I can do about re-directing everyone to this thread.:captain:

What are your thoughts on having the headlight controls in the infotainment system?

Well I had been thinking about looking for a 2023 Colorado Z71 and found exactly what I wanted by chance. Planned on ordering one later this year but was able to put a solid deal together on a truck that just hit a lot….my Tremor is gone.

I have really enjoyed this forum and appreciate what a great job the mods do to keep it that way. The members are great and share some excellent info.

My Tremor was a good ride and I have no complaints beyond the stickers?

Hope you all have many more hassle free miles and enjoy whatever gen Ranger you drive.

congrats on the new ride, looks sharp and I hope it suits your needs!!......just for kicks I went to the Chevy website and "built" the truck.....was shocked at the price.....and surprised you have to pay for memory seats.....I fricking hate that! I hate that about my 2021 Tremor......I paid almost $50k in Oct 2021 for my Tremor and was pissed at the price but it looks like trucks are even more pricey now....WTF?!...I say all the manufacturers are greedy and it's NOT really a "supply chain issue"......but no standard memory seats and you have to pay about $1,500 as part of a bundle to get it.....that's sooooooo irritating!.....my sons' previous 2006 Lexus IS350 had memory seats....and heated and cooled seats......that car is 17 years old and had those options......and now my 2021 top of the line Lariat Tremor doesn't even have an option for memory seats and your new Chevy comes with it but only as an $1,500 option......the truck world is going mad!!

sorry for the rant but I love the look of your new truck and would consider it but not at the current price......ALL of the auto manufacturers need to stop with the greed......
