interior plastic door cover possibly ruined, any ideas for fix?

maybe if the 303 starts to wear off faster than i want it to but it seems like that and the 303 do the same thing if im not mistaken

Any water will take it right off so if you're sweaty or open the doors during rain, well.. You'll have to reapply.

I stopped using it for this reason.

I'm amazed that the steel Brillo pad didn't scratch the plastic. I used to use this on my boat, it was good:

youre right, i guess it was scotch bright that i used. it did leave just a few light scratches that i think im going to go over with a magic eraser

The stuff car detailers use work better, if you don't mind spending a little extra and have to dilute it into smaller spray bottles.


Detailers worth a dime don't touch amor all, 303, ect.

Yeah I'm also on the "if it's easier to replace, do it" train.

Time is worth more the older we get.

alcohol was my first try and did nothing, if anything made the plastic worse

Contact the silicone mfr, explain in detail to them the situation and send pics.
There are YouTube videos on various repairs and remedies for damaged interior finishes. Try "silicone stained vinyl," see what you get.

edit: Just read your later post; 10-4. You have to take it off anyway, slap a new one on.

Silicone is great for rubber parts. Seals, weather stripping, ect.
