Trying to decide between the Putco and Mountains2Metal lower grilles for my Tremor.

I have 2 quick questions for those of you with experience...

1.) Can the Putco unit (without the cutout) be used with ACC? I don't like the look of the cutout and I see that Mountains2Metal has a similar pattern over the ACC plastic cover... and theirs seems to work with ACC.

2.) Can the Putco unit be installed somehow without taking off the lower valence? I see worries online about breaking clips? I prefer the Putco unit look as it is more OEM (no mountain pattern in the metal), but I am not sure if it is worth the trouble of install?

Just looking for some help... trying to order in the next 1-2 days... Thanks!

I have had both kinds of the Putco on both my Rangers and have never taken the valence off.
I've had to flex the Putco just a little to squeeze it in, but there was no damage to the piece. No broken clips anywhere, as I took my time and was gentle with it all.
My current insert has the cutout for ACC and was a little more difficult, but still relatively easy.
It's my understanding the MTM insert will work with the ACC even though it covers the unit.

Good luck. Either one will make the front of your truck look much better!

Mountain 2 Metal works with ACC and install involves removing two push pins an reinstalling them to hold the grille in place. Easy peasy 15 minutes.

Really easy, they even give you extra push clips if you break one or two. I think I had mine on in less than 15 minutes. I wouldn't worry about the mountain part of the design. You have to be really close and actually looking for it. The rest of it has a pattern that looks really similar to the grill pattern. All in all looks much better than an empty hole.

Like you, I also worry about breaking clips and did find this video. I won't be installing until it warms up in New Hampshire but hope it's as easy as he shows:

Oops, update: I don't have ACC, so not sure this is applicable.

I have the m2m and would choose it again. ACC works fine with it too.
