You can get a Tesla Model S with 300+ miles range for $29,995 (after tax credit) now that Muski has dropped the price again. My wife's Prius cost more than that.

I have been force fed some articles that claim they are really close to Sodium Ion replacing the lithium , which would be a "gamechanger" ... according to whatever the hell i was reading ...

Rivian seems to be meeting headwinds as well with investors appearing ambivalent. I see the positives in Lucid and certainly if cost was no object they would have an easier path.

I think EVs still have things to overcome before gaining significant marketshare although they seem suited to urban driving best.

Those things are even more incredible, considering they are about the size of (I was born in 83 so forgive me), a four-door Ford galaxy in the 60s. We are talking pure boats!

So when you see those numbers, it’s amazing how nimble they have made this monstrosity of a vehicle!

Gas could go pretty high, and you could still go out and buy a nice $100,000 car, keep it for four years, and be way the hell ahead of the price of that thing!

He wouldn’t be as cool to the people I watch walking around, I was trying to think are those the ones who wear a beanie in the summer with a tank top… Now those guys couldn’t afford it, not, unless they are Hollyweird people.

But really, it’s insane how big the vehicle is and then, when you see those numbers, it becomes even more wild! With all the computers and cameras and automatic parking, I guess most of the pitfalls are sort of removed for such a large vehicle.

Just give me the top-of-the-line Porsche Taycan if I must drive an EV. Although let’s be honest, at 233 mile range, that’s no fun.

And how about a Tesla S Plaid or even performance with a Ludacris. I believe well into the 300 mile range, the high power DC charge test some pretty good stuff in 10 minutes.

I just don’t think I’m there yet.

When the Ford lightning or the Chevy EV truck come out and someone develops a lift kit, given they already have, extremely impressive range, then I might wanna play

he means Tesla 3. If you want the S, you’re already paying double that for the lower model. And maybe it hits 300 miles… Maybe.

But step it up into the dual motor and that right there is worth quite some performance, then start adding some options, you’re gonna hit $90k pretty quick.

Really go for it in your well over six figures. By the way, a lot of the subsidies, do not apply when the car is over a certain value. I think there are no more available for a lot of the Tesla’s, although that might’ve changed for the 3.
