Thank you all so much for the kind words. We weren’t related to him, but knew him over 20years. My husband is having a hard time with it.

We have had 3 people we know commit suicide over the past 10 years. One hung & the other two shot themselves. One was a young woman.

It hurts my heart to know that someone feels so hopeless that they feel there is no other choice.

In case ya’ll don’t know…I think you are all wonderful people.❤

Tracy it's never easy losing someone you know whether they're apart of your family or not. I have many friends who I consider family and treat them just like they're part of mine. I've said it many times this forum is really a special place and full of great people who I also think of as one big special family! I hope you and your family get through this and as aways we're all here for you if you ever need someone to talk to.

Tracy, sometimes this is a blessing. Who knows why the man did what he did, but being in control of your own situation and ending things on your own terms can be the most compassionate thing a person can do.

I know of several situations where folks have done this rather than die a prolonged death at the hands of "Modern Medicine".

If we remove "religion" from the conversation, isn't an abrupt ending the same thing many of us do for our pets when the end is inevitable?
I don’t know what these people are going through and I don’t judge their decisions. It’s just sad.
My hope is in God and I pray I never lose sight of Him.
