“Puffy” Driver Seat Upholstery

Hey y’all,

Just hit 1K on my Ranger and curious if anyone else had any issues with the driver seat upholstery seeming “puffy” after getting out in the circled area? It seems loose almost. I am 5’11” and weigh 210 so not putting any crazy extra weight on it. Just noticed after I got out that I could almost push the padding down a little. Thanks!

What you are looking at is the fart zone. Seems we have a high volume farter here that has filled his zone. He needs to spend a little time outside ridding some of his flatulence prior to driving the truck.

Same exact thing on mine and it’s 5500 miles. I just push it back down when I notice it. I think all car seats do it to some degree.

Im equal in size to you so ill go look at mine shortly and post a picture. But I have the tan seats that stain from water.

There were several threads about leather seat problems but not sure with the cloth seat.

My faux leather driver seat is wrinkled up and loose fitting os well. . Noticed it 3rd day of new ownership. The passenger seat is fine with passengers using that seat. I should have taken it back for repair now at 18k miles but did not.

Thanks for the”real” reply. ?? It’s not a huge deal just something I noticed and I do the same if I see it. I guess it’s better knowing mine isn’t a fluke. Thanks!

I complained about that 80,000miles back...nothing to do except cover it with sheep wool pad...

30k on mine. Exactly the same.

31K on mine and my leather still looks perfect. I mustn't have enough gas.

@klikekyle you could try wearing one of these to match your "puffy" seat? ?

Same deal for me.
Though I'm more concerned about the plastic trim on the side; Anytime I get out I slide across it... Gonna break eventually.

Had my cushion replaced under warranty, it lost it ability to cushion my legs, butt and a brace started cutting into my leg..

Mine isn't puffy at all. I did add a wool paf under the cusion a year ago to firm it up. Just doubled up with a cheapo moving blanket. Might be why it never sagged.
