It's intermittent, like not on every wheel turn. It seems to come from under driver seat. I had the shocks done recently. I can't hear anything at high speed. Is this something I should get checked out at dealership? Or any idea what it might be? Edit to add: 21 Scab, 41k miles, no issues to date.

Probably just your assigned Truck Gnome screwing around with you.......
Little known fact is that every Ranger comes with an individually assigned Truck Gnome at the factory. Ment to screw around with you at any moment. time, or location....
They have numerous hidey spots throughout the truck, and can live anywhere in the smallest space...

Check your leaf springs. One may be cracked at the front mount. Mine sounded like a knock from around the bed area on my SCAB. Jack it up towards the rear until the tire is off the ground and you'll see the spring hanging down if it's broke. Won't see the crack otherwise.

There is a TSB on the driver seat noise. I had it done to mine.

Basically, they clamp a piece of rubber on the seat frame with some hose clamps.

Let me see if I can find it...

Bet Ford put their tech's thru a 40 hour high tech course to teach them how to install a piece of rubber and clamp !!!

Don't forget the mandatory sensitivity and compliance training.

Don't want to offend the unused heater hose.

Empty everything out of your truck. Make sure sun visors are secured. Make sure none of the seatbelts are twisted, then they rattle. Check rear seat and back, they rattle too when not latched in. Then drive it around. Could be something simple.

Looks easy enough for a DIY. I've got a rattle from the rear that started about a month after installing new Eibachs, so I thought was a loose shock. It turns out the plastic bed rails had loosened.
