Many years ago in a different plant, according to rumor, there was a couple having a quicky in a production vehicle on the assembly line between shifts. They got caught. Their next opportunity to get together was in the unemployment line. On top of that , they were both married but not to each other. I bet that was a difficult conversation, trying to explain getting fired to their spouses.

I have heard of several incidents like that, Knew an engineer that had to ride out the paint oven at the Aerostar body paint area...etc. Very foolish on these folks parts. Engineer kept his job but was kicked out of the plant for not following process. Line operator hanky/panky between shifts is risky as that time is used for line repair, mods and restocking and so on so there is lots of activity.

At Michigan Truck, the smell of weed was prevalent around the rear axle racks and we visiting engineers avoided that area... did not want to get tied up in accusations of that smoking area...

Congratulations. My Lariat Tremor order was placed 12/19/22 so looks like I'm a couple of months behind you. Not 100% confident that they will even get mine produced this year but we'll see.
What are the absolute must have mods that everyone is doing right out of the gate. I know the tailgate assist is a must but what other items are a must?

Actually sooner than I expected. In the current manufacturing environment I ordered it in mid-Oct. figuring / expecting 6 months/April production. Ford has done it in 4 months. As such I am very pleased. In my mind kudos to Ford!

Don’t let them make you think you need a tailgate damper. There are two sides on here, choose wisely. That’s a decision that should be taken lightly. I’ll get things started.
Some non tailgate damper mods:
Center console tray
USB phone charger (if needed)
Floor mats (I’m leaning towards husky)
Interior cleaning wipes
Ignition Bezel (non push button models)
Bedliner (drop or spray in)
Missing bed tie down hooks (two in center, rip-off from Ford but only oem style one)
Ratchet straps
Collapsable breaker bar and 3/4” deep well socket (I think it’s 3/4” and not metric but I’m also an idiot)
License plate frame
I’m sure others will comment as well

Truck was built yesterday, Feb. 13th at 13:00HR. Now back to waiting. But at least it is waiting for delivery now.

Excited? Nah. No worst than a kid in a toy store about 2 days prior to Christmas.

Edit: Born at 02:00HR today, Feb. 14th.

The Monday after the Super Bowl!? If we're lucky the C crew will bolt together a Bronco with a Ranger truck bed in the hangover haze and a beautiful unicorn will be born today

@Friday yet? s Ranger has been built.

It came off the line at around 2 AM on Tuesday. I am speculating here, but I think it was started on Monday by A crew and finished by C crew. At least C crew had time to sleep in and hopefully recover from Super Bowl Sunday.?

Now for a nice train ride and then convoy to the dealer. Waiting for a truck is probably harder than waiting on Friday because Friday happens every week, but a new truck only happens a few times in a lifetime.
