It topped out at around $11 here. I had another home improvement project that I delayed by a few months until the price dropped below $8.Around here at Home Depot, 2 x 4 x 8ft Douglas Fir is $2.98, #2 Southern Yellow Pine is $2.85. But i remember it was up to $9 during the "shortage".
What's funny is that the description says:
- Made of wood for enhanced durability
The dynamics of the pricing was interesting. At one point when the price was rising rapidly I bought a few boards and pressure treated was cheaper than regular pine. I assume that must have been related to differences in inventory turnover.
