Stop it - stop it right now!

I don’t miss that critter on the bottom right…

I think the snake may be a Bull Snake...if so...great to have around as they dine on pack rats etc. First line of defense is to freeze, Rattle snakes included. 2nd is to get away...then for rattlers, 3rd is coil and strike. Here in Green Valley we have the snake hotline which we can call and the fire department dispatches a 4G Ranger in Fire dept. colors/decals and they retrieve the snake and relocate it in the adjacent open desert.

Best,
Phil

Of course you washed your vehicles by hand in the dead of winter when you lived in MA.

You’d be out there with a propane tank, lobster pot, clay mitt, your hazmat gloves, microfibre towels fresh out of the dryer, and 303 mixed with methyl hydrate if this was your situation…

Point of Order - It is to cold down here to wash my truck this weekend, and I still will not be taking it to the automatic car wash.

It will be in the low 70's high 60's. I might get frost bite.

All of that should be covered by warranty.....I suggest you not tell them you took it through a car wash. I realize it is a PIA.

Car washes are known to damage vehicles. We had one big outfit here, their equipment was crushing the roofs in. Personally I find washing the Ranger a lot easier and quicker than my replaced F150. I find it enjoying and even a form of exercise. I can have it all done in 45 minutes. 2 hours for a full inside and out showroom detail job. Crank up a radio, get your hands wet....wash that thing. You may even meet a few neighbors when doing so.

Craig,
I took my last Ranger to a local car wash for quite awhile and no issues. After one of the washes the tires had an oily coating on them, so I took it home and washed the wheels by hand. Have been reluctant to go back since and hand wash the 5g. I look for every chance to get in some extra exercise and find it therapeutic to do it myself!

This right here!! I know many hate to hand wash theirs and some just don't have time. But it really is relaxing IF you have the time and it also gives you the chance to look over the entire truck. That way you can sometimes catch things like a bad tire, screw/nail or a gasket falling apart before they get to bad.

Exactly! And when trying to focus on good health it is easier to make time for exercise.

if you run around while washing the vehicle, you can exercise and wash the truck at the same time!

Or, just carry the wheel bucket in one hand and the paint bucket in the other...

If you're looking for an extra workout, add a couple of bricks under the grit guards.
