Well I just found a new fuel source. Bought 10 pounds of frozen yellow fin tuna steaks from Costco.com and just received it. The packing foam all says it can be burned. We need other companies to use this foam.

the whole box was lined with it and the dry ice pack didn't melt any in 2 days so it's great insulation. Subquark would probably get enough to heat his home if Amazon started using it with all he orders.
It is good insulation, but strictly short-term stuff. Feels like urethane foam. Made from corn starch. They make "peanuts" of the stuff, too. Dissolves in water is the killer. Can't use it for home insulation. Oh, and insects and rodents like to eat it...

Just like they like to eat Ranger wiring harnesses :lipssealed:. Interesting stuff I wonder if it has any nutritional value? I am going to see if it's really good plant food in my garden this summer.

Yes, for the win! =D

LOL, I tried dissolving some of this stuff in the kitchen sink. Big mistake!

It does dissolve but I probably drained Lake Mead in trying to do so, used lots of water (sorry Greta). =p

You can all chillax now.
"The American Gas Association has pushed back against research demonstrating gas stoves' dangers. It previously said that emissions from cooking with gas are similar to emissions created when cooking with electric stoves and that it planned to submit evidence to that effect.

On Tuesday, it slammed the latest study to link gas stoves to asthma, calling it findings "baseless allegations" and pointing to the role of gas in reducing carbon emissions from the power sector by pushing out more-polluting coal."
I have lived in very diverse apartment complexes, and some of the emissions created when cooking were a lot worse than emission from burning gas.

Emissions after cooking are what bother me the most ... for some, those need to be heavily regulated!

Now we need Dave to make a 303 packaging foam that you throw in a bucket and 10 minutes later you have 2 gallons of 303 car wash ?

I can't believe they are trying to ban my gas cooking stove and wood stove. Next will be charcoal and gas grills along with smokers. This is one battle that I will fight to the end if implemented.
I THINK YOUR OVER REACTING.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Funny thing is in New construction starting Jan 1 all fireplaces are supposed to be gas. Most gas units are non vented and 100x worst then a cooking stove for air quality. No more gas ATVs or OPE equipment by 2035 here also. The new law allows them to monitor your neighborhood and shut down woodstoves also if they want. That sure won't turn out good around here and we are preparing.
I installed my gas fireplace insert 10 years ago as I was tired of wood. Even back then it was a closed loop system that used double walled flu pipe to bring in fresh outside air for combustion and expel it outside, but that might have just been Calif reg's at the time.
