I searched thru and found a few clues on which on to use?
The how to access two level engine compartment fuse box is Ford engineer
nightmare like where they put the oil filter.
back to topic, I am installing Glowshift transmission temperature gauge.
Four wires:
ground sensor no issue
sensor feed to gauge no issue
ignition on/ off switch controlled (What fuse to tap)
headlight on/off switch controlled illuminates gauge ( what fuse to tap)
It a high tech nightmare, crammed tight, with relays and the four types of
new fuses with hardly any room to install fuse taps ( Amazon made in China may not fit or break.)
another option is to tap visible wire ribbon going to headlight switch dimer
and harness going to ignition switch.
After buying PPE pan, filter, filter gasket, pan gasket, Glowshift gauge, wire taps,
fluid transfer pump, and ULV transmission Fluid , Carid.com, Levittown Ford,
Amazon , it’s a expensive upgrade.
I know it’s rated to tow 7500 lbs, and sealed transmission with 100-150K
miles service.
When I drop plastic pan and see color of fluid and debris on magnet we shall see.
My use in Towing 5000 camper in+ 90F Fl heat and maybe mountains in Ga, N & S Carolina, Tenn if gas affordable.
