As someone who lives in Florida, and is moving to Colorado, I can understand this sentence. I've said it many times over the last decade....

I had to buy real boots for this trip, my flip-flops wouldn't do well in this weather...

its a titty bit nipply here as well. im sitting in my "office" looking out the window at snow flurries and trees blowing wildly. not the norm work day weather for me. I drove the 5g to work to be safe in case of snow or ice etc. Secretly hoping that three feet of snow will fall before i leave so i can play in it and drive the truck in snow for basically the first time ever lol.
