Are you out of your mind? lol j/k …
Tough decision you have there Andy but either way you know you'll never be able to leave here. We'll all come over to the Maverick forum and haunt you until you come back.?
C’mon Dave I’d never leave this forum but I am on both. As you learned there’s no longer a Hyundai in my driveway. The only thing missing on the other forum is a damper and 303 protection guy. I almost understand why is because they can be a bit sensitive.. ?

I like them except for the offset license plate. One of the guys at work just bought one an I especially like the interior.
Hmmm...sounds like a mod to me.

The hybrid maverick will be considerably cheaper to run, easier to park and get in and out of. It's also much more modern inside. It's basically a question of if you need the added utility of the much larger ranger. If you don't really need it and can make the maverick work, then it might make sense to trade/sell. If economy isn't really an issue for you then why not stay with the ranger? To me vehicle ownership is a game of "what is the smallest/cheapest to own vehicle I can get away with and do everything I want to do?" To others it is more about what is fun to own and what makes you happy. I respect that attitude but unfortunately am not in that financial situation. For me it is all about economy, and if I could get away with driving a maverick, I would.

That's a tough decision Andy, but I guess it all comes down to which one would serve you best. For me, and the wife we enjoy taking our trucks on our long 5K+ road trips. That's one of the things that have us wondering if the Ranger SCAB is really what we need. It has been on some shorter trips, and did fine. But, the amount of "stuff" a woman needs won't fit in our Ranger for a longer trip. That is one reason a Maverick wouldn't work for us. Heck, if you can get your wife to test drive the Maverick when it comes in she may change her mind. I know, I know, a woman changing her mind would be a strange occurrence.:bandit:

Good luck on your decision.

We kept the Ranger and traded the wife’s car. She is enjoying her new (edited) Maverick!!!

I think the Maverick is a great looking car with a large open trunk. But I took one out and even though it was the lariat FX4 the interior was so cheap looking a felt cheap as well. And let’s face it our rangers aren’t the best either. But that maverick felt and looked awful. Same with the new Escspes Ti with the the extra options. Cheeeeeeap!
My 2 cents.

I disagree, but everyone is not the same. :) The one I sat in was very nice. The seats were beautiful. It didn’t look cheap at all to me.

Point taken, just try to find a better hybrid vehicle for 34k out the door fully loaded. I’m really having a hard time finding what’s cheap about it vs price point. I have a fully loaded 21 Ranger Lariat FX4 and it realistically compares to that. But hey my wife loves it and so do I. Just let’s get something straight, I can afford just about any new car today and this was our choice, not yours. You do you and I’ll do me.

I actually like the Maverick. Reminds me of the old Rancheros and El Caminos. I see quite a few around my parts. Never sat in one but I've seen some videos. I like it. Interior looks comfortable, and functional. Only gripe is it sits just a tad too low for me- I like more ground clearance.
The Ranger serves me very well.
To the OP- It's what you like and want. Enjoy in good health as always...YOLO
Personal note- I know absolutely nothing about hybrids..but I'm sure Ford builds a good one.
