Yes. Below are two pics I took just this morning on my way to work. You can believe or not what you like, but keep in mind my caveats...stock truck, 91 octane, flatland PHX driving. I've no particular joy in constantly spooling up the turbos, so you can say I drive like an old man if you like.

Both pictures show the start of your reading (37-38 miles). So what? i can do that to under the right conditions.
I didn't ask if you can get 25-26 MPG momentarily. I asked if you average 25-26 MPG?

Gunning it to go zoom is out of my system now, except getting on the highway with heavier traffic. After all, I usually have Cheech in the back and he doesn't approve of anything but the smoothest ride! =D

So looking at the receipts from @AzScorpion - his fuelly app in signature is displaying 22.5 mpg lifetime average which is much closer to what we are arguing is "reality" and he has some samples proving that 26 mpg is possible on the hwy.

Leave it to a communications guy to pile on the semantics but this is really the difference between "I average" and "I can average."

I normally don't get 25+, but it has most certainly happened. I got 24.2 mpg on my last tank with 93 octane. Dash read 24.7. Hand calc was 24.2.

With that being said, for the majority of tanks, I get between 22.0 and 23.0 with 87 octane, and that's hand calculated "regular" driving at about 33psi. I could easily squeeze out more if I was babying it or hypermiling and/or closer to 40psi.

A consistent 25.0+ mpg average would not be common, but it's definitely not impossible just because you don't do it.

For me, dash is almost always 1.1 mpg optimistic. I was shocked the other day when it was only 0.5 optimistic. It's been either 1.1 or 1.2 optimistic almost every single time. There was also 1 time when the actual was better than the dash....but just once.

I normally use 87 but have been experimenting with 93 for the last several tanks. So far, with about 5 consecutive tanks of 93, I see little to no improvement. I'm going to get numbers from a few more tanks and then go back to 87. Some people have reported 10%-ish improvement, maybe for some that's true, but not for me.

I didn't see your original post at first, only the one I responded to. He made it sound in his post it was impossible to get 25-26 mpg with a 4x4. That's why I said in my post " Obviously this isn't my around town average but consistent for highway miles."

Both averages are pretty impressive seeing as I have the Eibach coilovers leveled out to 2.5" and larger tires (32's) and the highway speeds were 75-80 mph with a few WOT in there for some added SPG....Smiles Per Gallon. ?

You're not reading the dash right. That screen shows the average MPH, the current (immediate) mpg, the average mpg, and roughly how many miles left to empty. You'll see I'm at 3/4 tank of fuel in those pics (I fueld up on Friday morning).

I'm aware that looking at the mpg right after fueling can and often does show higher average mpg...and I chose not to show you any of those pics as when I arrive at work after fueling my average on the screen is about 28mpg, and there's no way I can maintain that throughout a tankful. But 25-ish? Yep. I can do that pretty much every week on my regular routine.

You seem intent to want to call me a liar, and that's on you. Have at it.

A bit of due diligence on your part by surfing through any pictures I've posted here in this forum of my dash readings over the last 2+ years will probably show you roughly the same averages on both my 2019 2WD and my 2021 4WD. Many of us that live on the flatlands and have lots of highway miles are able to achieve higher average mpg, whether you want to believe it or not.

Did live there for a year and their frigging income tax form is more complicated and longer than the Feds!

Kate does work there, so we always have to file Massh0le state income tax which requires my income to be listed (even though I live and work in New Hampshire). There's something shady about that part.

In my adult life I've only lived that one year in a state with state income tax - Texas, Florida, and New Hampshire otherwise. I just want to live out in the woods in my burried shipping container ... =D

LOL, well we do get tons of North Mass and South Maine folks coming to our grocery stores and Liquor Outlets (can't blame them).

Well, you're so far north that I felt like I was back in my home province, just needed some poutine and Labatts! =D

Have 600 miles on my Ranger....One tank fill so far, but I'm barely squeezing out 17MPG. I'm driving normal to conservative and was expecting much better gas mileage. Some of you are getting well over 20-22 MPG so I'm scratching my head here.

It gets better after a few thousand miles and an oil change or two.
My driving is mixed and it's very hilly where I live. I average 19-21 on every tank.

my 2020 has never done better than 18 mpg on the average. 60% freeway and 40 % street. i have 25000 miles on it. i just do not think it is gong to get any better.

I don't get how a handful can get such bad mileage when the majority do so much better.
