Did a search and saw a lot of results so I assume Ipods are compatible in the Rangers? I have a Classic with a bunch of music so it's my preferred go to when on road trips. Where would it be connected, in the USB ports in the center console?

Hmm, just paid attention to your handle - does this mean I can make my 2014 Passat fast? :)

I use my iPod with either Bluetooth or the USB. I also have a tiny thumb drive that I use that has about 100 songs. But since I can’t download all of my songs from my iPod or iTunes, I’m stuck using the iPod.

Ipod Classic is not supported directly via the USB (where you can control the iPod with the head unit). This is not a Ford exclusive issue. Other car manufactures phased out iPod support over the last several years or more.

EDIT: I may be mistaken, with regard to the Ranger. Might be confused by our '21 Subaru that dropped iPod support.

Totally compatible...I use USB to keep it charged and keep solid connection instead of BT...when I want to listen to Youtube, I can switch Ranger's sound to this device...I use an Ipod Mini 4...

1.8L Snail Version but like my Ranger, it has S mode! It also has paddle shifters! ?
Plenty of tuning options. Companies like APR and Unitronic are a couple of the more popular ones, then there's the "removable tunes" Like Cobb and JB4. Paired with an exhaust and intake can get you some nice gains. ?

Oh boy, here we go.

I imagine there are some suspension mods you can recommend as well.

It’s a good thing it already has an awesome OEM engine cover.

And the engine cover is plastic not foam ?. Depends on what you're wanting. Sometimes a good cup kit (springs and sport struts) are all that's needed, especially if you have bad roads where you live. Some people want that slammed look and go for coilovers or Air ride which can get pretty pricey. When I first got my R32 last year it came with Koni coilovers and that was the worst suspension I have ever had, especially with 1100 mile road trip. I swapped them out immediately for Solowerks Coilovers cause they were relatively inexpensive and had good reviews. Still kinda rough, but better than the Koni race set up it cam with. I now have H&R sport springs and KYB AGX adjustable shocks. Much better, plus I don't have to fiddle with trying to get the ride height dialed in. If you like spirited drives a good rear sway bar makes a huge difference as VW's (maybe a lot of FWD vehicles) are designed with understeer. A RSB introduces more oversteer so making apex turns deeper and more controlled.

I run my iPod classic (160gb) thru the center USB input under the the dash. Sometime it connects and plays fine and even shows the songs on the infotainment screen, and I can control the songs with the turn signal button, other times it won't connect at all, not sure if there is a fix for this, as I too like to use this device which has almost 80 gigs of music on it

Just got to ask, what do you mean by the turn signal button?
