I am very confused...I stuffed some towels in my glove so I could bear to touch the downpipe... here's the reading warm.

It looks to be at or below 5. I checked it 3 times. Engine still running after driving around for about an hour.
Let me see if I have this straight:
Assuming there is proper amount of fluid in the trans:
1-with engine off, most of the fluid would drain into the sump and the reading would be above 1 and the stick totally covered.
2-with "cold running" method, the reading should be at around 4-5
3-with "hot running" method, the reading should be at around 5-6
Is this correct?
