I stopped at the body shop on my way to work that did body work on my Moutaineer (when my 87 year old mother swiped the rear quarter panel while it was parked next to the horse barn). Showed them the ding & scratch. Said they have their PDR service guy coming in tomorrow morning so they're going to call me when he arrives. Will have him take a look and see what he thinks.

I think that's the one I'm leaning towards. Is that the one that's the same as OEM black textured one from Ford that made by AVS??
I think there are two versions offered by Ford, likely both manufactured by AVS. This one was in stock when i got it and i liked the stick on part.

I did notice that, thanks. I ordered the one without the lip on top edge. I want it to be the least obtrusive style as possible.... just for front hood protection.

I've never had one of these before. Was going to ask the guys that have before/after thoughts on them; you notice a difference with it on?

I always had them on my F150's back east and just added this one to my Ranger back in May. We were about to leave on a month long road trip in June and figured it "might" help alleviate hood & windshield chips. All I can say is after the 5,000 mile trip there wasn't any chips so maybe it worked? lol

Ugh, need another pic!

You're truck is too shiny to see anything! =p

LOL, I may try to get one last Graphene coat on this afternoon, getting to be one of the last days in the 60s here ...
Well, I do use the Graphene and detailer on the bug deflector. Sorry even the other pic I have is shiny. ?

60 in November up there, wow you're having a heat wave! :sun:

Sure are - absolutely gorgeous weather (but tons of leaves, which are pretty to see gently falling but not so great to clean up, but easier now with the Billy Goat - feels very manly to dump the bag directly into Soupie's bed).

Kate's all excited and going to detail hers with the Speed Detailer. Thanks to you and, in all seriousness, this has brought us lots of fun for something we can do together (although, I'm nowhere as detailed as she is).
