yes, more stupid than that even. same spot pissed me off too. I mean lets pretend for a moment that we are all indoctrinated lil boobs, and think all this is great - saving the planet stopping climate change - excuse me :)crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:???) ok im back- cleaning the air up etc... do all of us save the earth tree hugging tofu farting hippsters want to ruin even more of the earth by building a damn charge station every place we may want to walk our designer doodle dogs or eat foreign foods at or even drink over priced coffee near?? i consider charging stations like the one pictured - vandalism of the environment. I go to places like they pictured to get away from all the man made crap in the cities and concrete jungle.
Yeah, the zero emissions gaslighting.....hahahahaha...

pic of Ford's charging station, looks absolutely dull and uninspiring compared to Jeep's sexy futuristic portal like station, come on Ford is that the best you can do ? Looks like a design right out of that ex ceo file cabinet maker's sketch book.

Does anyone ask where the power is coming from????? That is the point of this. I truly think folks just believe the power comes from the "outlet, right?"

Power in the middle of "nowhere", will no longer be "nowhere"....as in THERE IS NO WIRELESS POWER ANYTHING, well, except an ICE...

yeah there is a tremendous amount of investment money being poured into EVs and everything associated with EVs - tremendous as in hundreds of billions. By contrast scant amounts going into ICE future development, just reading the tea leaves.
according to this article it's already available:

.. and sit for an hour or two... imagine what a crapshow it would be if you filled your gas through a coffee stirrer...

I didn't see any mention, or even implication of wireless in there.

I don't have television, so I don't see many ads, but there's very clearly a cord in that pic, and the full video posted later. So who exactly is being "stupid"?

I dunno man, I had a Volt I absolutely loved that thing. All the EV haters need to drive one and maybe they would understand the appeal,, and all the EV lovers need to educate themselves that there is nothing any more environmentally friendly about EVs than a regular car. Moving a vehicle either by electricity or fossil fuel is gonna have a broad impact on the environment, don't try and tell me otherwise.

One thing I loved the Volt specifically, besides the ability to drive it all day without range anxiety, was the lack of general maintenance it needed. Oil changes, air filters and brakes etc were very low maintenance.

As well, the operating cost per mile was significantly lower than my wife's Cruze over the same period of ownership, based on similar platforms.

Very courageous post, all things considered. Has someone recently applied EV shock treatment to make such a daring post here ?

So....where is the power coming from? Did they just dig a trench across the desert to "nowhere"? No overhead lines? This stuff aint free. THINK PEOPLE, PLEASE THINK! Electric is produced many ways, but current/voltage is maintained by big spinning things...then power is transferred over wires to other things that plug into things that spin things....kinda simple...so, yeah, it's not me being stupid. Those that don't understand this at a very basic level would be the ignorant ones. Those that just choose to buy the hype without any curiosity as to where the damn electricity comes from would be the stupid ones.

No sir. I just hate bullshit and obfuscation, and there is way too much of that in the world today.

I'm not hating on EVs here. I think electricity has its place for sure and I love some of the technology being spawned from this. For many users, it's great. For many others its not. Just don't go selling it as any more kind to the environment as other means. There are costs to everything. Electricity isn't free and doesn't just grow on trees. And it's important that folks be more rounded in their thinking about the rewards and risks with a totally EV world. Think about security and reliability through diversity a little. Some very recent events should educate us that they would have been even more disastrous in a total EV world.
