Estimated date gone, and the tracker has gone backwards to "awaiting shipment" Original estimated date was June 16th, though that looks unlikely now.

If it hasn't shipped yet it definitely won't be to CA in 6 days - it is probably a 3+ week trip I'm guessing. It took 21 days to get to Oregon - I'd guess Southern CA would be similar.

That sucks. Hopefully @Pioneer74 can help figure out what happened and when it might be coming.

Thank you so much! Do they show a delivery date? Feel free to add it to the ongoing tally on VIN numbers.

Thanks.
What day did you order?

I checked the tracker early this morning and it showed the track had been delivered two days ahead. I will pick it up tomorrow.

Finally! The one I originally ordered was damaged at the train yard a block from my work. I drove by it every day for a week. Eventually I got my dealership to dig into why it hadn't moved. Apparently there was "paint scratches" on the bumper. I told them I wouldn't take it, they found another! It's a blast to drive, the Lariat bells and whistles are wonderful. Took it for a long drive through some mountains. Cushy and plush like I wanted.

Hopefully the one you found in inventory matches closely what you wanted to order.

It really sucks that some dealers are so difficult to work with on orders. It still amazes me that most of them don't seem to want to deal with orders when it is basically a sure thing sale - it is just a couple months in the future.

Anyway, I guess the good news is you will be getting your Ranger sooner than later! Make sure and post some photos when you get it!
I honestly think it was just a case of mis-information from the dealer on this one. I don't have any malice for them, and I got a refund on the money I put down. I sure wouldn't do business with them again, though.

So... the wife went and picked it up (I still don't get home until next month :(). It's actually way nicer than the one I had ordered, and cost the same! XLT FX4 w/Tech, Sport and 301A packages, plus remote start. Wife said she loves it and was surprised by the power coming from a Gen 2 Tacoma. Honestly, the Sport package is way Nicer than I expected. I'm in love with those wheels!

One thing I've noticed - those wheels look odd to me in the Ford build tool. The way they render looks really "flat". I like them a LOT better in person. I think both the sport and the "regular" wheels in that trim are the same - the sport ones are just painted magnetic. I also like the sport package but didn't get it due to how it looked in the build tool. Again, I think it looks a lot better in a real photo.

Glad you found a truck - a bonus that it has more stuff and cost less! I have no doubt you will love it once you drive it. I guarantee you will love the powertrain. It continues to amaze me.

I cannot believe how nice this truck is. The only time I’ve ever been this excited over a vehicle was the first time I was able to purchase a car on my own. Believe me, this is soooo much nicer. My entire experience was great from the dealership to the Ford tracker. I think the main thing that helped me was all the information from this forum. I was able to learn from others experiences and to know what to expect. Thank you all!:like:
