Sounds like the radio is covered by a blanket!

Just a quick observation from definitely-not-an-audiophile. The treble and mids, even when adjusted up, sound like there are blankets covering the speakers. Anybody else notice this? Would a speaker upgrade fix it?

Does it matter what source you are using? Radio, SiriusXM, external source?

Simply click Audio/Settings//Speakers/Remove blanket from speakers button. Jk I have no idea. My XLT Sync 3 sounds great.

Good question. I'll see and report back.
Interestingly enough, it does matter on my truck.
Local radio is more clear/crisp than SiriusXM channels.

Radio is different depending on station and power intensity. I have a few stations that sound like that. If I pull tunes off my phone library it’s a night and day difference. Get a USB stick and put all your tunes in that with a high bit rate. The radio will come alive!
