Wow great pricing. When I checked Fords site it was more than double Floods pricing. I am in !
Thanks for the 411
These two having been selling them for many years just over their cost. Granger just started selling them too so it's nice to have a few options that are MUCH cheaper than the Stealerships.

Make sure you add the LED bulb coverage, it's well worth the price.

Will do and thanks for the advice. My suspension warrantee is pretty much void but all the electronic goodies of the Lariat would be a nightmare out of pocket.

Great advise, listen to this man. I bought mine from Flood and also added the bulb coverage for peanuts more. It will more than pay for itself if the tails or headlights go tits up. Those LED's are a pretty penny.

When I bought, my plan came out to around $1,500 for the full 8yr/100K mile +bulb coverage. Not too shabby considering Ford sells it the same plan for around $3500.

Not sure what your point is, but the warranty is good to 150000 miles or as long as I own the vehicle. It can be xferred once.
So are you just trying to poke holes at it or do you have a valid point? What could be better than as long as I own the vehicle?
No hole-poking here. It just reminded me of a conversation I once had with a store clerk about a battery warranty.

I kinda get what GitRDone is saying. With
the Ford ESP warranty you know its backed and if it was a valid/approved claim......ANY Ford repair center would have to honor it. Yours may not have that guarantee. You would have to work these details out between the warranty provider and place doing the work.

Didn't really seem like anyone was bashing your warranty. Most said it was a good deal. As long as they agree to pay for covered faults and work with your repair center/mechanic.

$890 total. This was for 8 years/48,000 miles. The next level would have been $1075 for 8 years /60,000 miles. Marc @RangerMarc posted his estimates below which I think is a good reflection of the value:

Ford Protect ESP at $50 over Dealer Cost from Granger Ford | Page 2 | 2019+ Ford Ranger and Raptor Forum (5th Generation) - Ranger5G.com

And you would be hard pressed to find a more more honest dealer. I've been dealing with Granger close to 2 years as I have a Bronco order through them. Of course through no fault of theirs I still can't get even a sniff of a build date. :)

BTW Paul @OrangeStreak, I have actually taken "the wrong turn in Albuquerque". It wasn't purdy.....:bandit: ;)

Do your homework...
When I was looking into the plan my selling dealer gave me "our best price", and its a bargin.
Checked with Flood, and their price to me was almost half of what my dealer was charging.
Flood rep told me that most dealers will mark up the plan almost 100% and that excees goes right into their pockets. My dealer was set to make almost $1000 extra from me, for the same plan, a genuine Ford ESP plan. Flood rep stated they may only make $50-$75 extra on each plan they sell, but they make up for it by selling more plans than just about anyone else.
Don't be scared of buying from a legit dealer on-line.
Hi, This thread is a bit old, but Warranty questions never go out of style! I have 29K on my 2019 but of course the factory warranty is expired. Just had to go in to try and deal with the infotainment messaged about "turn off ignition or start truck" message, and intermittent door locking that I traced on our wonderful forum to my battery likely going out. Had to make a second appointment as they "couldn't assess" at the time of my oil change even though I had alerted to scheduler to the issues. At the time we purchased we were issued a menu of added service protections from an array of providers - Auto Armor, Maintenance Contract, up to 10 year Service Warranty, and a Road Hazzard (US Warranty Corp). So this will be my first deductible and effort to use the warranty. I didn't expect to be blanketed with Ford offers for extended warrantees as we had made the purchase up front. Now I'm wondering why the salesperson didn't mention to me that we would be approached by Ford for an extended warranty and discuss the pros and cons of the USWarranty offer vs the Ford plan that would come forward. We might have made the same decision, but it doesn't seem like the dealerships necessarily have the best interest of their customers in mind if they are not discussing all options? Especially if one will come directly from Ford??

I must say, we had the truck for less that 6 months when we had to collect from the Auto Armor from some tree sap that could not be "rubbed out" from a black paint job. The Ford garage repainted the hood and great match, and there was no cost! That warranty seemed to be spot on and I should appreciate the suggestion. We'll see how they do in resolving the more mechanical issues. Always tricky.

Thanks everyone for the good info. I had considered trading the truck before my 3/36 warranty expires, but I like it so much I may keep it and buy the extended warranty. Especially if this crazy inflation/ chip shortage is still an issue.
FYI Flood doesn't sell to anyone in Florida.

Anytime I buy a ford, I get the extended warranty.
For my ranger I just let the dealer lube my butt with their in-house service. Only cost me $1,200 and was rolled into the loan so no big deal.

I think it was for either 8-10 year... Either way it seemed worth it to me.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the 10 yr/75,000 Granger or Flood warranty. I drive very little being retired and probably won't hit the mileage but with a few problems I have had under the original warranty and the temperamental tranny, I feel bettet. I sincerely question a lifetime warranty as mentioned earlier. Ford Protect has a max of 10 yrs time frame. I did read in the contract details and understand 0 deductible if repaired by the selling dealer. Are
Really? My plan I bought through the Ford dealer is 150K miles, time frame is life of the vehicle, $0 deductible for $1850.
I'm about to pull the trigger on the 10 yr/75,000 Premium with Granger or Flood warranty. I drive very little being retired and probably won't hit the mileage b4 10 yrs but with a few problems I have had under the original warranty and the temperamental tranny, I feel better having it. I have had 2 bad batteries replaced, a spare tire winch and had the tranny flashed due to funky shifting and momentarily loss of power on 2 occasions. What I sincerely question is a lifetime warranty as you mentioned. Ford Protect has a max of 10 yrs time frame. I did read in the contract details and understand 0 deductible if repaired by the selling dealer. Are you sure about lifetime mentioned in the contract or did the seller just state that verbally? Also, are you sure it's a Ford Protect warranty?

That's probably a deal made with the dealership, and may or not be a proper Ford ESP, but a 3rd party.
The local Nissan/Volvo dealership (Giles) gives unlimited lifetime drive train warranty on new vehicles purchased there. The caveat is that you have to ALWAYS take it to them for regular service and repairs.
