$890 total. This was for 8 years/48,000 miles. The next level would have been $1075 for 8 years /60,000 miles. RangerMarc posted his estimates below which I think is a good reflection of the value:

Please correct me if i am wrong. but my understanding of extended warranties is they start at the time of 0 miles / 0 years. So your manufacturer warranty is 3/36000. so your extended warranty only gives you an additional 12000 miles.

That's correct. I just added a 6/75,000 mile one but in reality it's only 3/ 39,000. I guess to them it sounds better like you're getting a whole lot more than you really are. lol

The purchase date of my Ranger (new) was 07/16/2020 so that gives me 8 years/48,000 miles extended warranty coverage from that date. My total extended warranty mileage coverage is 48,000 - 8871 (my mileage the date I purchased the extended warranty on 06/16/22) = 39129 miles of extended warranty left starting on 06/16/22. This extended warranty will be duplicate coverage with my factory warranty to 07/16/2023 and then only extended warranty coverage from this date forward until expiration. Hope this helps :)

When I bought my Ranger in Dec 2020, I bought a 150000 mile LIfetime warranty with $0 deductible for $1850. The warranty is transferrable once

That's a great warranty! I usually trade mine in every 3 years so I didn't consider buying one when I bought mine. Now with all the crazy shortages and delays I figured I'll be keeping it at least another 2-3 years. It will also depend on when and what the new R6G Ranger comes out with. I'm really hoping for a PHEV one but the bad side of my brain wants the Ranger Raptor. lol Either way I'm waiting for one of those to make a decision.

Good price! When does your warranty expire? This Ford warranty is also transferable and you can cancel it at anytime with a refund pro-rated for the time not used. This plan is the PremiumCare which is their top tier plan with the maximum benefits and coverage available. I had an extended warranty on one of my previous trucks and they went bankrupt so I took a loss and was a little skittish about getting another one. I feel that Ford is solvent and hopefully will be a stable investment. The advantage of my previous warranty is that it was not thru a manufacturer and you could take to any certified auto service but this one is restricted to only Ford Dealers :)

Not to be too cynical, but that "life of the vehicle" caveat always gets me. More useful would be "life of the owner".
Not sure what your point is, but the warranty is good to 150000 miles or as long as I own the vehicle. It can be xferred once.
So are you just trying to poke holes at it or do you have a valid point? What could be better than as long as I own the vehicle?

Not sure why everyone wants to try to downgrade my Lifetime warranty (referring to other previous posts). My warranty was sold through the dealer, has all the benefits your does, BUT I have Lifetime / 150000 miles, $0 Deductible and cost less, can be transferred once and I can cancel anytime with Pro-rated return.
Someone earlier tried to say Ford does not want to call for approval. That is just plain BS. I talked to the Service Rep at my local Ford and he said they deal with them all the time with no problems.
I have to take to the Ford dealer I bought from unless I am more than 60 miles away.

Sounds like you have a great warranty and especially with the lifetime coverage. Warranties are really important now with the skyrocketing prices of service, parts and repairs. A friend of mine had the transmission on his car go out at 43,000 and no warranty in effect. He had to pay $6000 out of pocket so he purchased an extended warranty while the car was being repaired! I had the water pump fail on my 99 Ranger with no warranty and it cost $1000.

Yes I agree 100%. I would rather pay the cost up front and never use it, than need it later and not have it.

Right, it gives peace of mind to know it's there just in case!

There's no expiration date, but it does end at 150,000 miles. That's good if you put low miles each year. I have seen other dealers and brands doing the same 'Lifetime power train warranty' with the requirement that you take it there for ALL maintenance. Miss one scheduled maintenance, 'lifetime' warranty voided.
