Great after we leave Durango we're headed through Leadville. I wear shorts 365/year here so now I have to see if I have any winter cloths here. Heck I might have to flip that heater box control back to the heat side. lol

I do have a few cloths here for colder weather, the desert nights do get cold in the winter. A couple hoodies and a waterproof jacket should get me through and if it's to cold I'll just stay inside. lol Hey, it's been 8 years since I've seen snow and been in really cold weather, I'm a wimp now.

Alright, waited till its was a cool 85° to finally install. Took maybe 45 minutes and only cause the passenger side nut fell into a crack I couldn't reach... ?? but she's done for now ????

wait people actually like icon? now thats a first.. hopefully it works for you but from my experience

every single person i know that has had icon has had it blow out leak or snap.. if you want a true performance coilover or shock go fox, king, ads, radflo or even the higher end bilstiens do decent ish and can take loads of abuse before they blow out but icons? nah

so far I'm happy. definitely smoothed out the ride but I can clearly feel the difference between the front and rear now..... so more money to spend..... ? ? ?

That was the point of this thread...... I was looking for input on Fox vs. Icon.

No one here had anything really bad to say about either. Fox was clearly the more popular option so I decided to try something different. Ultimately I went with the Icons because they offered a 2.0 remote reservoir at, what I felt, was a reasonable price point. Theoretically they would have been better than the 2.0 Fox. Of course after weeks of waiting they turned out to be backordered till who knows when so I down graded to the base Icons. If I had known at the time I probably would have gone Fox instead but, oh well. So far so good. As much as I would love to be off-roading every weekend, its just not a reality for where I live so Radflo/ King/ ADS/ would all just be a glorious waste of money for my pavement princes...?

That makes sense and hopefully it holds up for so you don’t have to replace them often

I am running ICON tubular UCA, 2.5 non resi in front and 2.0 non resi in rear. Had 2.0 resi blow in 6 months, presumably from towing since they have seen zero off roading. Sent them back to ICON for rebuild and revalve to be street friendlier. Still in box if anyone is interested. PM me. I would say ICON is just a little too stiif for my liking and probably will go King next.
