I had Icon rears for a short time and was pretty disappointed. They did well at first but wore out quickly. Less than 30k miles and they were shot. Swapped them out for Fox 2.0 to match the front and I have been much happier.
Don't the Icons and Fox require rebuilding at around 30K?

This is one of the primary reasons I went with the Bilstein setup.

I have no desire to occasionally pull those front struts and rebuild them.

While I know that those options would undoubtedly be far superior to my current setup, my level of offroading in the Ranger doesn't warrant a higher-end suspension setup.

There's not much desert to blast through in north GA.

I can't speak for Icon but Fox does say for 50/50 on and off-road use to rebuild at 10,000 miles

If the fronts were as easy to access as the rears, that might be feasible (though I'm sure I'd tire of it after a few trips down rebuild lane, especially at $70-$80 per shock).

But since they certainly are NOT...
