Wow that is a cool looking truck. Curious if that has the 302a package? I think maybe that is why mine has been sitting since 3/24/22 is because maybe waiting for chip.

Exactly the same reasoning. Can't belive the price differnce between the head and foglight assemblies are only $500. If true - then those halogen headlights are damn expensive.

I think to put in the LEDs is about $850 or more aftermarket. So it seems Ford is finding a way to increase the bottom line by not giving the appropriate difference for cost. Ship mine without headlights and a $1200 credit I will purchase what I want (LEDs).

This crap, I ordered in March, and willing to wait , but how many times is Ford going to pull this sort of shit before I even get a build date. 500 more for led, 1000 more for tremor, 500 for lariat gauge cluster, 500 more for ass, blah blah blah. Before I know it I should ha e bought one on a lot for the dealer markup 3 months ago

Is the Lariat Gauge Cluster a confirmed delete. I had not seen that anywhere else yet...

Went and checked the "list of deleted Items" thread, and noticed number 21. Seems to prtain to the 500A only.

Since there are many different threads on this I feel it's now worthy of a sticky. Just hit the edit button on this post to add any new additions so it keeps this thread updated.

1. no rear folding headrest
2. no hood struts(as of 2022)
3. no PRNDS light
4. no glovebox damper
5. no RANGER embossed into the Lariat seats
6. no console (pen) cubby
7. no 12V outlet in the console without 110v option
8. no bright trim rings on the 12v covers that matched the radio knobs
9. only 4 bed tie downs instead of 6 (as of mid 2019??)
10. no engine cover
11. no owners manual cover
12. Eco badge on tailgate
13. no plugs in the rocker panels
14. no ignition bezel (has always been missing)
15. steel front fenders (aluminum before) estimated after March 2021 and all 2022
16. no bright button on parking brake
17. no color keyed tailgate handle on Lariat just black plastic without chrome pkg.
18. no aluminum spindles, they're now steel
19. rear passenger doors no longer have external touch lock
20. front seat headrest tilt adjustment
21. (2) 4.2" productivity screens instrument cluster replaced with (1) 4.2" screen in Lariat 500A
22. Floor Mat mounting tabs on passenger side
23. no small cubby inside glove compartment to hold owners manual
24. no removable rubber pad at the bottom of the cup holder
25. no removable rubber mat inside the console storage area

The attachment contains model year timing of eliminated features.

Does anyone know of another deletion for the instrument cluster in the Lariat?

Yeesh settle down, nothing is a confirmed delete, I am just saying they can do this on as many items as they want to and continue to jack the price up on us since they are not delivering

Eight weeks after build is complete and my Ranger is still at the factory waiting for a car hauler to carry it 400 miles. Received a fourth email notice saying it's delivery date was rescheduled to the future because it obviously did not make any of the past three delivery windows.

I have a Lariat on order since March and just received this from my dealer:



22MY Ranger Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps

• The automotive industry continues to be confronted by supply chain shortages of a wide variety of components used to manufacture Ford vehicles
• As a way for customers to get their Ranger trucks sooner, Ford has implemented the following product offering change process: Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G)
  • All Lariat orders will require Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) through the remainder of the 2022 model year. The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $500 for optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp / Fog Lamps.
  • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to the orders. Following this communication, dealers should add Option Code 87G (Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps) to Ranger Lariat retail & fleet unscheduled orders by Friday, May 27th.Those Lariat orders that are not updated by Friday, May 27th will be amended by Ford to include the Lariat Optional Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th.
  • Lariat stock orders in unscheduled and scheduled status will be amended by Ford to include Optional Lariat Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th. After this date, Option Code 87G will need to be added to all newly entered Lariat orders

Well, I needed a 'gap' vehicle, so while I continue to wait for the next 4-9 months on my ranger and watch the list of deletions grow, I found a '22 Gladiator 4xe on the lot below MSRP. Hoping that when my Ranger is delivered that I may be able to even make a little money on the trade, especially with the $7,500 rebate.

Same. I had other reasons for lariat but the headlights were definitely something I wanted. As I said this will be a deal breaker for me unfortunately. We'll see I guess

That’s the story I’m getting, mines been over 2 months. Saying June 3 rd now

I'm right there with you. My order was placed on February 28th, got the email from Ford and then crickets.
I'm waiting on an XLT, FX4, 301A in velocity blue. Dealer today told me 6 to 9 months out. ?

6-9 Months, is that even gonna be a 2022MY? When are they gonna change over?

I'm in the same situation, ordered late Februrary and nothing so far....

Some notes for Everyone still tapping their fingers and are getting shipped by RAIL.....


IF your rig is built, and you have a railcar number, (Call FORD and get it from them.)
*You may be able to get it from your dealer,,, but, screw it, rattle Ford's cage!!.. ?

Find a friend of a friend who is a dispatcher for a shipping company. (They would need to be doing business with the particular rail company shipping your truck.)
OR insist your dealer call the port/yard w the rail car # and find out if your rig has been unloaded/ready for pickup.

Do NOT call the railroad company! (Even the dispatcher doesn't call the rail for day to day tracking, as they have a website for that.)

My salesguy is a great old-timer, however, he insisted they can only plan off of the print out of what Ford sends them each day. (vehicles shipping/arriving.)

As I had the rail car # from FORD, and have close friends in shipping, they were able to tell me my rig was IN, and OFFLOADED from the rail. It was ready for pickup while I was sitting at my dealer's listening to him tell me the Ranger wouldn't be here till June 1st.?

After I let him finish, My shipping pal, who came with me and had been sitting quietly, then proceeded to "educate" him (nicely, but firmly). As I said, I've got a great dealer, but some of these guys are set in their ways..
In short, My friend informed them that the truck is here, and they had best send someone down to get it NOW.

I had it the next day. ?

Now, for shits & Giggles, I signed into Ford Tracking today. (I've had the truck two days now)
Tracking still says my dealer is getting it ready for me.


Cliff notes:

Ordered Nov 2021. Built end of March 2022, sat at Ford factory for a month. Arrived/unloaded May 14 or 15, On the 16th , signed paperwork & Informed dealer truck was HERE. Dealer sat on their ass/may have picked truck up from port the 17th, took possession May 18.

Ford tracking says dealer still has it! ?
