I see it says a 2021. They stopped taking orders for 2021’s around the end of September. Can’t understand why it shows 2021 with that order date

I agree and anyone with 2021 orders got pushed to 2022 with a delay bonus. So I can't believe someone place or spoofed someone

It’s interesting to see there’s still a long wait from order to production, maybe they got it figured out not to produce unless it can be fully completed and not sit somewhere instead of getting it delivered to the customer.
Maybe you’ll get lucky and it arrives sooner, post some pics too When it comes in.

Valuable intel, you should share this on the 'Support Group for Those Waiting..' thread. We're all trying to make sense and detect patterns of time between order date, VIN/Build Date emails, build schedule and finally delivery.

Around winter and the new year, it seemed folks got their VIN email roughly 1 month after delivery confirmation email, with a build scheduled two months after that. Delivery had been a crap shoot, another month or more so 4 months total if lucky.

You're reporting a nearly 2 month lag between order confirmation and VIN. I ordered March 21, its been a month and nothing. I'm hoping I'll get a VIN within 2 months like you did, as you were one month ahead of me.

Needless to say, I'd like my Ranger right now, lol!

FYI, I ordered on February 27th XLT 301A with the FX4 and trailer towing package. I received an email from Ford a couple days later saying they got my order and explained the process. It is now May 4th and no further word from Ford or the dealer. ?
My dealer also told me it would be a 6 to 9 month wait for delivery. That puts it into November as a worst case scenario.

Agreeing with you! Tomorrow is 11 weeks for me! And if we get picked, we need to go play the lottery! Can you buy a ticket 11 weeks in advance?

I ordered almost the the same package except the color and I ordered the FX4. ordered on 2/27 with an email from Ford on 2/28 confirming the order. No contact since. Hopefully I'm getting closer. ?

Ordered a Cactus Gray Ranger XLT 302A with trailer tow package on 4/20, had an email with a VIN on 4/21 and a scheduled production week of 6/6. Seems like that's faster than most? Vehicle status currently still says Order Confirmed and not In Production despite it being in its scheduled production window. I knew that was probably too good to be true huh? Haha. I've got an 04 Tacoma with a broken coil, leaky rear diff cover, rotted exhaust, and trans leak that can't take a sticker that I'm milking until the Ranger is ready.

Are people's trucks actually complete during their production phase or is the build ready and then sitting waiting for chips after?

You should have gotten a build date (not just a week) if things work like they have been. Typically you get scheduled for a week and as that week draws closer they then schedule you for a specific day. Since it is still early in the week it may be your truck is scheduled for later this week. The vehicle status site should change to "In Production" once your truck starts. That does seems awfully fast (especially getting a VIN a day after ordering), but stranger things have happened.

Ah ok, thanks for the intel. Yeah fingers crossed it actually gets built this week but I'm not holding my breath haha.

This was before all the madness around COVID, and it was at the very beginning of production, but it gives you an idea of the progression - This is how my order went - Notice I didn't get a VIN until almost a month after I ordered:

Ordered at Dealer 12/22/2018
Accepted at Ford 12/26/2018
ROVP Approved 12/28/2018
VIN Assigned 1/18/2019
Build Week Assigned 1/25/2019
Window Sticker Available 3/8/2019
Blend Date 3/16/2019
Production Complete 3/19/2019

One thing I forgot - can you access your window sticker yet? If you can, that is a good sign - it means it has been sent out and is in the queue for production.

Nah, no window sticker at the moment, just says check back later. I'll update this thread once I have more info. I'm curious to see how it compares to other people's builds that were place in Q1/Q2 of 2022.
