2022 Ranger Order Update

I got the spray in bed liner which was included in the black appearance package. I'm simply wondering if it's because I'm opting for the s.cab and not the s.crew. Majority of the orders I've seen on the forums are mainly s.crews with Fx4, Tremor, etc

Screws are definitely going through fast. As for what I been seeing. I got scab coming. It took some time but I think a lot of it was do to head rest recall on scabs. Might be caught up now

I asked my dealer about the headrest recall and they told me it was only for the previous model year and not for the 2022. Could be anything but I'm not too worried about it.

Yeah I know it was on the 21, they made the adjustments to the 22 needed. The same headrest that's going in the 22 now is also what they were replacing the 21s with. I believe it was 37,000ish on the recall. Times 2 that's alot of headrest. Lol I have no doubt that's what delayed mind so long when I put my order in the beginning of November. I believe if I remember right I had about five dealers here in my area that could not sell the super cabs because they were waiting on the new replacements.

My order was confirmed by Ford on 10/21/21 and I received an email from Ford on 10/28/21 assigning a VIN and production date of 1/03/22. Yesterday I received another email from Ford saying my production date was now 2/14/22. We’ll see when it is actually made, but there is hope.

My order is a Carbonized Gray Scab, STX, FX4, Bed and Towing pkgs.

Mine is a Lariat SCREW, FX4 with Tow package and spray liner.

That is almost the exact same situation I am in. Down to the same dates. Looks like our trucks will roll down the line together.

I knew something was up when I didn't see anything from Ford during the originally scheduled build week. My dealership has been pretty useless during this entire process. I am glad this group exists. It is pretty sad that I know more about what is going on than anyone at the dealer.

I still wonder what could have caused the 1 month delay.

A lot of it will depend on how many Ranger orders your dealer has that have not been scheduled. Ford schedules on Thursdays, if you are one of the only orders that your dealer has right now, I would expect you to get scheduled in the next 2 weeks. My dealer gets 3 scheduled a week and they are about an average size dealer.

Right now Ford is scheduling for late February and early March build dates so if you get one of those you can expect to get it sometime in April. Shipping can vary from 2-4 weeks depending on how far away you are from Michigan.

What are your specs? There are some delays with certain options.

My process has been pretty smooth so far with no delays and is waiting to be shipped.

Have you got any emails from ford? You can not track the truck until you get the scheduled email with a Vin number. That email will have a link where you can track it.

Ordered Sept 30 2021
Updates to 2022MY sometime in November

Now listed as built and expected delivery to Vancouver BC Feb 21 2022

Less than a month of waiting left!!

Have you got any emails from ford? You can not track the truck until you get the scheduled email with a Vin number. That email will have a link where you can track it.

Got an update from Ford last night. Production is now slated for the week of March 7. Oh well, waiting is fun, right?

I ordered the plainest Ranger possible, well almost ... a 4x2 XL 100A 101A with the options of the tow package and carpet floor (I can't believe it doesn't have power mirrors!). The dealer took off the AutoStart/Stop because of chip issues.

Ordered January 28, '21, got the Ford order confirmation the next day, but nothing else yet.

Edit: changed to the 101A group for the backup in the screen rather than the mirror ...

2/17/22 Received an order confirmation email from Ford

Silver Scab XL 100A.
Tow + Lock Diff + Bed Utility + Key Pad + Sliding Rear Window + Mud Flaps.

• I tried to delete the auto start/stop but there wasn't an option.
• I'm OK without power mirrors but was also surprised.
• I did not consider until this moment that the reverse camera may show in the rear-view mirror. Ew but fine.
• Slightly concerned the rubber floor may be loud but I won't miss the carpet.
• VERY excited and I'll factory order every car I buy for now on.
