I'll be 57 this June.
Learned to drive-believe it or not on a Forklift, Hi-Low my Dad called it. An Old, and I mean old Hyster that had a clutch too, and that is how I learned stick.
Great memories of going to work with my Pop on a Saturday, he was a cabinet maker and worked in a huge Cabinet factory. Fun times scooting around on the High-Low all over the shop.
My first Ford was a '66 Mustang, white, beat-up but very reliable. My Older brother bought it for me when I was 17, last year of High School. Had the 'ol reliable Sprint 200 6 under the hood, rotting out floor boards any hardly any heat. Great times. Ended up sliding on a icy spot on the Parkway and totalling the car. Found a '65 Mustang beater next up with a 289 in it. Great memories.
My Ranger is the third Ford I've owned
Alright!! - Love the Jimmy Page profile pic!

I'm as old as my tongue, and a little older than my teeth.

Learned to drive in a 1969 Olds Cutlass (w/455 Rocket), my friend's mom needed me to drive him somewhere. I had a learner's permit, he didn't have anything so she figured I was legal enough, and let me drive him in her 1972 Pinto (first Ford Experience - wasn't bad.
Got my DL in a 1967 Pontiac Tempest, which belonged to a buddy's mom.
My now ex came to the marriage with a 1983 Mercury Capri (6cyl), but I'm not really counting that.

My first actual Ford that I purchased brand new was the 2006 F-150 XL, SCAB, 5.4L Triton (Motor Trend Truck of the Year for 2006) - loved that truck dearly and so began my love affair with Ford - loaned it to a friend, and she promptly totaled it when I only had a year left to payoff in 2013.
And I'm very pleased with the 2020 SCAB Ranger.

That's all the news that isn't...

My two older brothers taught me how to drive at 15. My oldest brother had a 73 Gran Torino and my other brother had a 68 Chevy Impala.
My first car was a 63 Fairlane two door sedan that I got for $500 when I was 16, I still have the car.

Hi Jim,

I was part of the birth of Ranger in the days before 1982½. Rangers are near and dear to my heart! Enjoy your 2022 Ranger when delivered! It has a hertiage of being Ford Tough and delivering for the long haul like your 94 did....

Best,
Phil

Mid 40s. My first FoMoCo branded car is a 67 Lincoln Continental, The Lincoln as my first car, so much of my early driving was in that car, not sure it's fair to say I learned driving in that car as I just hopped in and drove. I'd been fascinated with driving since I was young and watched the driver in cars closely since I was 5. When I was 7 or 8 neighbor and I got the keys to his parents' car (some RWD late 70s or early 80s domestic compact) and went for joyride around their property. I didn't know the word "drifting" back then, but I learned quickly that that was the "best" way to turn on dirt and grass. Ranger is a 2021 I got in Nov.

I bought it from VMGRT-253 ("Titans") on MCAS Cherry Point in Dec of 93. To this day I call that car Titan.

I was hoping to buy a nice Fox body for my daughter as her first car - she ended up with an Isuzu Imark coupe - very similar to the one depicted. She drives a Mazda 6 now....

Is that one of the nice ones with the Lotus suspension? My Uncle had one with that and it was nice.

Learned to drive in a 75 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. first truck I owned was a 78 Ford f150 4x4. 8 years later sold it for a 77 Ford f250 4x4. few years later sold that before I went overseas, Did not want it to sit a bunch of years and no one to drive it. then came back from overseas got a 79 Ford f250 XLT/Ranger 4x4. then bought a 88 Ranger. sold the 88 Ranger and got a 98 Ranger and had it a few years till the 08 Rangers came out and gave the 98 ranger to my son and ordered the 08 thru military auto. Still drive it daily 240,000 miles on it. sold my 79 f250 for a 79 Bronco Ranger/TS slowly restoring that. and have the 2020 XLT FX4 Ranger.

My age is 40
My first Ford is a 2019 Ford Ranger
I learned to drive in the deserts of SoCal in jeeps and dune buggies and atvs from around 9 years old and on.
My first vehicle was a 1963 GMC 3/4 ton wished I could have afforded to keep it but it was a money pit.
