I bought the Securicode Keyless Entry Keypad from Ford Accessories but can't figure out how to program it to the truck. It doesn't come with instructions, just says to reference the Locks & Security section of the Owners Manual... which appears to be absent.

Any ideas how to enter the "key program mode" on the 2019 Ranger with the Push-to-Start button? None of the ideas I've found online seem to work.

I was told by my service department today that it can only be done with their computer. I spent about two hours on it before I gave in and called.

I called the dealer Friday afternoon as they were closing up but they had no idea how to do it either. They said they'd get back to me on Monday. If you learn anything, let me know so I can help the service tech out. Thx.

I was able to get mine done on Saturday. Other than they had difficulties doing it (almost 4 hours), I don’t know what they had to do. They ended up only charging me $20 to install it.

Would you mind PM'ing me the dealer name so I can call and ask what they did?

I think the instructions explain how to program your code into the keyfob.

Now we need to add the key fob to the vehicle as a new key.

I called @DentonB dealer and he said they had to do it with the IDS software and it was no longer owner-programmable. Definitely no instructions included with my keypad for connecting to the truck, just the instructions for the custom code which was easy (mine is the push-to-start w/ remote start; B-model).

I'm taking the truck to the dealer on Monday.

Dealer service said they wanted $150 (or more if it went over an hour) to program the key.

There is an install option on the ford accessory site for $12.50. Try selecting that and see if it is honored.

Forscan (the activated version) can program the PATS system, might give that a look. It's a free app, but they make you activate the version that can program PATS and similar systems.

I am seeing if they will honor the $12.50 first. Also added a thread in Forscan to see if anyone knows if this will work.

Ok, so dealer honored the $12.50. It took them almost 2 hours to get it working. The issue is that the software needs to be the latest version. They tried with an older version, then found out it needed the latest, then had to download and install the latest, etc. Once they had the latest software version, it was about 10 minutes to install.

I found the keypad on the Ford Accessory site, but I don't see the labor option. Can you point me in the right direction?
