Did a couple things today. Put auxito led fog lights in, check out the difference between the two even in the daylight. And added some unnecessary (but I like it) red trim to the air vents on the interior.

I got my bed power hooked up today. I went with the #WolfhausOffRoad unit.
I was impressed with the quality and ease of installation.
If you're thinking about adding auxiliary power to the bed of your Ranger, I would highly recommend this piece.

I removed the tailgate and greased the tailgate hinges. Not a drop of grease on it from factory and plastic bushings were making noise. Grease must be something they deleted from the 2021 builds. ?

Returned it to stock tune (now it shifts like an angry orangutan is pulling the internal levers) and left it at the dealership so they can diagnose a grinding sound in the driveline. Let us pray. :please::please::please:

Hopefully they find out what that grinding noise is Jim and you get it back soon. ?It's amazing how slow it feels when you flash it back to stock. Heck I just flashed mine back to the 87-89 soft shift tune, drove to the gas station and hated it. I then flashed it back to the 91-93 soft shift tune and filled it with premium. lol

After 10k miles, I upgraded Bilstein B8-5160's to ICON 2.5's and a little protection from 589 Fab.

The Front's are next!

the bills are good quality, they have proven to be solid performers for years the icons also have a good reputation. tell us your take on the pros and cons or differences in the two setups if you would. maybe which one seems better for what terrain or driving style? It may help some of us pick a direction if we have not picked a brand. id love to have either !

I gave the black beast of AAAAAAAGH its fourth oil change at 19,883 miles...rocking it out with a FUMOTO oil valve and if it weren't for those darn flap clips I could do it in under 1/2 hr!...It took me just under an hour, including changing the cabin air filter
Just watch out for the rabbits! They've got big nasty teeth!

OK - as promised, here is the MBRP dual exhaust cold start video. I give a little bit of throttle around 30 seconds. Good speakers or headphones are needed to truly enjoy the sound this system produces.

So for reference my plans are a combination of things... I am after stance, performance, the ability to tow a flat car hauler trailer (and not be pointing at the sky) and handle like it's on rails. I can go play off road, but I am not after a ridiculous lift / setup.

The Billstein's are great, and I have always upgraded my rides to them. I put the 5160's on with 2 weeks of getting it. Best thing I ever did. If you pay enough attention to the gyro scope aspect of driving, the remote reservoirs was worth it. Then I did Bilstein 5100's with stock springs in the front. It is a great upgrade, but it really was a gateway.

On the drive home (75 miles or so) with the ICON's I was looking for potholes and washboards in the road to hit, it was A BLAST. Even had to swerve after debris came out of the back of trailer hauling junk. I am really impressed. It aint for the light hearted if you are just trying to fix the Ranger's stock wallowing. There are better priced and simpler solutions.

I have ICON Leafs (Option 2) as I have a Front Runner rack and other things, I put Timbren's on with the leafs for the trailer which is what you see in the picture, and have about 1500 miles on them. That made the back of the truck even better, so I thought I would continue with upgrading the shocks and coilovers.

I am excited to do the fronts with ICONS 2.5's & Remote Resi's along with their UCA's. In my mind I want to be able to go through the desert at 90mph and feel like I am on pavement. It may not every happen, as I dont like to get it dirty, but the ride is getting better and better every time I drive it. I'll share more after the Front install which is probably 8 weeks out as I wait for the Coilovers.

Thanks for asking.
