No picture tonight, but I swapped out the front Ford oval for the black and smoke chrome emblem. Looks pretty good. Almost good enough to make me not want to eventually change grilles. We’ll see….

Now, I just have to make time for the downpipe install.

Yesterdays project was rear brakes. powerstop z16 pads and rotors. Winding those calipers back was a chore. only 17k and the pads were toast, deformed and noisy. Fronts already changed to z23's a while back.

Todays was bit easier: Oem Black F+R badges... that front one SUCKS to change.
Those little 10mm locking nuts can go to hell.

Also had to fix my Redtek Mirror module. Wasn't unfolding on ignition, so I changed the t-tap and re-crimped and voila! all good.

Took apart my dashboard on Sunday and installed a Tow Controller Mounting Panel in place of the left 12v socket in my dashboard, in preparation for today's install. I tucked the 12v socket behind the dash and used it to power my wireless charger, so it worked out.

I took my truck to Damerow Ford and had the "factory" trailer brake controller installed so that I can use it this summer to tow my sisters trailer.

I used points for the purchase, covering most of my costs. I saw their quoted labor charge and had to remind them that the ford website lists labor charges for the install at far less than they were asking, they fixed it quickly and I was on my way. They missed a shipping document taped to the box they gave me showing a 42% markup on the part. Still think I got a good deal on though, so I'm happy.

I gave the black beast of AAAAAAAGH its fourth oil change at 19,883 miles...rocking it out with a FUMOTO oil valve and if it weren't for those darn flap clips I could do it in under 1/2 hr!...It took me just under an hour, including changing the cabin air filter
