I'm curious if you had the subscription (or say the Siruis radio trial that came on mine) and you pulled the telematics fuse or unplug the modem would they be able to cancel it if you didn't pay? Or is it like a certificate that expires in the software?

Speaking of CDs, I just ran across some old CDs that have pictures on them and realized I have nothing to put the CD into. Between CDs, computers and clouds, we'll have generations of history lost in the future. Time to start drawing on cave walls again.

lol I have a large box in the garage full of pictures dating back to the early 80's. OMG the cloths we use to wear back then! Then the other day I was looking for an ethernet cord and in the bottom storage in my entertainment center I found a bunch of cd's. I told my girlfriend I should send these to the Smithsonian museum. ?

Some years back, I found out my image CDs from before 2005 no longer functioned - either blank or the CD/DVD Player was no longer allowed to read them. Someone mentioned changing the time-year on my computer - never tried it.

GE sold the appliance name to a company in China a while back . No, more GEs for me..

GE also sold adhesive names to the german company Henkel. Henkel just rebranded their current adhesives with GE labels and threw out the GE technolgies. So if you buy GE sealants or adhesives with a henkel logo it's just loc-tite or OSI brand glue. which are the same. don't ask how I know. I can't divulge that information

i had an iphone 4s for a long time. until 2018 ! I took it to a phone hack shop to jail break or whatever they call it. Removed all bs i didnt want that came with it, and turned off all the updates. it worked like a champ. eventually i had it wrapped in packing tape since bits of broken glass were falling out of what was the screen. i wish we could hack our trucks.

We all know they'll abide by that rule.

I found a box of 50 Blank 3M cd's the other day. Probably from my son who used to burn tunes on Napster. My 2009 Mariner has the 6 CD changer in it and Sync; even has a 2.5mm headphone jack and a USB port. Man are the voice menus tiresome.

Shoot, well if they are going to charge us for BS like this, hopefully they at least listen to us for meaningful updates. The map has some nice things but lacks in a lot of ways too. I would appreciate altitude and a breadcrumb trail longer than my own memory. The truck has worse memory than I do on a trail LOL

Need to rip them to your computer, put them on a USB drive and relive the past. Might have some pretty good tunes there.
