In a nut shell it won't be an RTT anymore, it will be a BBT

I am researching a way to fabricate a pull out tray in my bed (will sit above the wheel well arches) that I can install an RTT on.

Edit: For clarification, smallest width when CLOSED.

And doesn't cost an arm and a leg (closer to $1000 the better).

Pulls out, fold down legs/ladder, storage underneath (dry?), low profile, possibly storage above - that kind of thing? Sounds like a project.

If it was built like the Roofnest Falcon or Sparrow, that would be slick.

I just want an RTT than can be stored on a bed pull out tray, but apparently a 1 man RTT doesn't readily exist.

Thule has the Tepui, but $2,000 - why am I paying more for a smaller product? lol

HA! I guess the factory listed specs measure between the wheel wells.

Its actually 53" wide at the tailgate.

This changes everything....

That opens you up to a lot more possibilities.
I have mr RTT on a RCI rack. It’s a Tepui from before Thule bought them. I can’t speak to the current quality but when Tepui was their own brand the quality was fantastic.

Oh yes much more options now. I still need to build a pull out tray above the wheel well line, but below tail gate latches.
