I agree. The strip at the top of the windshield gets minimal if any tint from the factory anymore. Makes a big difference for me.

Exactly how I've had all my mirrors adjusted and how I've trained my wife to adjust when she needs to adjust. Only thing about adjusting this way that sucks is the amount of light that gets directed towards your face at night by others headlights, but it isn't bad if you got tint.Interesting note: all mirrors are blind spot mirrors if you adjust properly them to point at you blind spots and just use you rear view mirror for, well looking behind you.
Saw this in a YouTube video, and realize it is weird we all adjust our side views so we mostly see behind us. I’ll admit it is a hard adjustment to get used to however.
Dave, I did likewise on the front windshield with a 5.5" strip. Have always had a problem with night vision so this keeps the vision line thru the glass clear at night.+100 on this, I just had this (6" strip) done on my Jeep. I have very sensitive eyes and always wear good sunglasses but this really helps cut down on the glare. It was a little weird looking out at first because the Jeeps windshield is a lot smaller than the Ranger but I would highly recommend getting this done.

The strips between the doors can be removed and the body color is behind them. If you want to leave them in place I use the 303 Aerospace Protectant on mine and it keeps them from fading. Also use it on all the rubber trim pieces to keep it from drying out and fading. So idk if it's just mine or others have the issue where the exterior door trims fade into a somewhat white color. I've tried several products today I said fuck it, and grabbed some Teflon grease and sprayed it on the moldings. As you can see driver door vs rear passenger door. Did pretty good. Then sprayed mink oil on all rubber seals and interior panels. Avoid any petroleum oils on any rubber it will swell and turn gummy.

O nice I may order some. The Teflon grease was what I had on hand from work. All other commercial products from say Walmart and autozone would continually fail to bring the color back. The strips between the doors can be removed and the body color is behind them.
