My DeeZee required no hole drilling; it came with clamps. I think most are like that.

Same here on purpose. We regularly load kayaks and gear in the bed and I'd really like to not punch something through the back window.

Nice rack, but it not work with my tonneau cover. If I had to do it over again, I might have purchased the backrack and the matching tonneau cover.

Do we have access hole or bed stake pockets upfront to attach these types of racks? Or do we need to drill trough to bed rails and caps?

Thanks much I had the same one on my 2018 F150 that was just totaled. I just bought a new 2021 Ranger XLT and would love to get another Dee Zee for it. I'll have to look more because I couldn't find it for the Ranger.

Just got the Backrack with the tonneau cover adapter installed today and very happy with it. I'm now able to have a tonneau cover when I want it and get the Backrack for bigger items.

So from reading this thread, am I correct in saying that the DeeZee doesn't require drilling but the Backrack does?

When I go to the DeeZee site it says drilling required.

Thanks... so according to the instructions for the Ranger, there's some drilling. But I can't tell if that is drilling the truck or just drilling the rack to make holes for the J hooks?
