Has anyone swapped their auto dimming mirror out for a non-dimming unit?

How hard was it? Do I need to bypass anything electrical so I don't throw codes or anything? My Lariat has them and I hate them around sunrise or sunset with my tinted windows. I honestly wish they had an on/off switch.

Yeah, I had them in My 2015 Fusion and wasn't a fan of them in that either. Just personal preference I guess. I bought it used or I would have ordered it without honestly... (Cars that wreak like bad cologne go cheap so I went for it) My main issue is backing out of parking spots, and sunrise and sunset with them and the tinted windows and forget backing out with sunglasses on in the morning, you can't see anything.

yeah, I wish the ranger had auto dimming side mirrors. on smaller cars I can tilt the sides a little when some jerk with overly bright headlights is behind me, but the ones on the ranger are too darn big for that.
