Does anyone know of good seat covers that are airbag-safe?
That is, seat covers that don't interfere with the front seats' side airbags deploying.
I'm looking to cover my cloth seats, only to keep the cloth clean.

If there's a seat-bottom-only cover, that'd be better :)
I haven't been able to find a good one on amazon though.

Side Bags deploy from the truck body itself and not the seat so no seat cover should interfere.

I removed my seat covers to install heated seats. I can assure you that there are air bags in the seat itself, as indicated by the label shown in the picture above.

And by the fact there is a yellow connector below the seat, there may even be a tag on it. Yellow connectors usually indicate air bag.

Yes the airbags come from the seat back bolster on the outside.
Yes there are seat covers marked "Air Bag Safe."

Yes all seat covers - even airbag safe - will "interfere" with the operation of your airbag.

The reason is that, even the airbag safe ones, provide additional layers of fabric and stitching that the airbag must inflate through. This causes delays and may misdirect pressure or build up pressure to unsafe levels. Remember we are talking about a system that deploys in less than 0.02 seconds and gently enough that it doesn't dislodge your face from your skull.

Ford has designed the seat, seat panels, and stitching (look at the pick above where the airbag tag is located - you see different stitching) so that there is a minimal effort for the bag to deploy. Adding additional layers or break away stitching in different places will cause that bag to behave differently.

DO NOT PLAY WITH AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT!!!
DO PLAY WITH FUNBAG DEPLOYMENT!!!:like::p

I worked in dealer parts department store just over 40 years. When air bags started being installed on the right side dash board we refused to sell dash covers one of our best sellers even if they said airbag safe. Same thing with seat covers when air bags showed up there. Not only for liability sake but I could sleep better at night knowing I was not selling a product that could hurt or kill someone.

Ford also says to use same size tires as OEM, yet many people but larger tires. And I am sure Ford would dislike removing crash bars, yet here we are.

Thanks all for the ideas :)
Wow, the Ford one is indeed ugly looking.

Anyone know of a good seat cover that covers just the bottom?
No airbag comes from that region...
