  1. New route for dash cam cables

It actually drips down under the dash and makes it faster and easier to connect to the fuse box. It also makes it one less trim panel to remove in order to run the rear camera cable. And since I have a cap installed I also found and easy way to exit the cab and run the cable along the frame and...
  2. New route for dash cam cables

That is correct. Though they are spares they are still hot. Plus 30 is hot at all times while 37 is accessory. It worked for me. Maybe we should make a sticky to help anyone else installing dash cams. I had to go thru multiple web sites to find out how to pull trim pieces electrical etc. Like I...
  3. New route for dash cam cables

I'm not sure which way to put the taps but they are working fine. 30 has a 30A fuse and 37 is a 20A. I confirmed them when I pulled them for the tap. The Rove camera uses 5 Amp fuses. The fuses are mini's.the larger fuses you don't want to use as they are micro3 fuses with 3 blades. The gro und...

I am installing my Rove R3 today. I was having trouble with Remington the A pillar moulding so I discovered an easier route. I have a few swirl marks but not so bad yet. I have kept my paint well protected but you can never avoid them. I am recovering from a couple of recent surgeries so as soon as I am 100% (uea like that will ever happen after as many as I've had) I will tackle the swirl marks.
  12. Guess what my next days will be like.

Even though my Ranger is just over a year old, I see too many swirl marks. And that's after trying out some silicone waxes that would wash out after a short time. Pictures to follow, that is if the rain will hold out.
  13. Heat crack on windshield!

The easiest way to see if it was a stress crack or impact is to use a ball point pen. Run the pen with the tip extended along the crack. If there is an impact point, the pen will stick where the object impacted the windshield. We used this simple method to determine whether it was warranty or not.

  19. Tail of the Dragon

what banana boy missed and I really wished to avoid saying this: If he did the math he would have seen that we averaged just under 40 mph on a 30 mph road. I am also not a risk taker either for myself nor anyone else on the road at any time. Traction control was on the whole time, at the...
