Figured I would condense this into a single thread instead of two.
For starters, what are your feelings on running boards? I took one side off this evening and I am digging it from at least the appearance of being taller. I don't rock crawl or anything so clearance isn't really a concern, but I guess you never know when you might want that extra bit.
Second of all, something has always bugged me about "amber" lights in the sense of the current market. From my understanding amber was originally more of an orange tint color and over the years companies made them more yellow. Diode Dynamics appears to be the only company who sells light bars along the lines of the old way of thinking. Everyone else, Baja, Rigid, etc etc are all aboard the yellow train. Can any of the older crowd give some insight on why the shift in colors?
I used glass paint to paint some of my fog lights and recently found a color that was more amber in the classical sense and gave a bunch of coats to an old light sitting in a box. What do you think? The new color is more in line with amber marker lighting and turn signal lighting.
