When the temperature is below ~40 and you remote start your Ranger the drivers heated seat does come on. My wife's Jeep powers on both seats when the temp is below ~40. Her 14 Dodge Dart did too. Having the heated seats power on with a remote start when it is cold is a pretty standard feature.
I noticed in Forscan that you can also select the heated steering wheel to come on when remote started also .

That would be cool if the Ranger had a heated steering wheel. I would give up heated seats for a heated steering wheel in a heart beat.

Traded in our Highlander in August for the Ranger, it was a fine rig but I’ll be damned if I would ever pay money for a thing like this…

Edited: Oops, dropped an F bomb that apparently wasn’t liked, I guess I should read the forum rules?! Lol

Sorry mods, I’ll be nicer next time.
I'm glad they made

Jeeze, glad they made you edit your post. Reading a bad word would of likely would of made everyone leave the forum and buy a jeep.

Yep - is heated steering wheel even an option for Rangers? My FIL just bought an Escape and I noticed he has a heated steering wheel.

In the WJ forums, the F word is used as adjective, adverb, noun, verb, and prepositional phrase in referring to the Jeep maladies.

I don't use sentence enhancers myself, but I heard enough of them in the military to become somewhat inured to it, though it still irks me when people use it around kids.

Sounds like I need a jeep lol.

I think it's absolutely wild that people can on one hand tell their children things like "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" and then on the other hand try to shelter them from... words.

As someone who spent their childhood surrounded by truckers with no filter or care for what would be considered politically correct... I can say that I'm glad that was a huge part of my upbringing. I guarantee I'm more fun at parties than a kid who grew up being taught that self expression is bad/naughty/sinful.. whatever.

It's a good way to raise a Sally who can't deal with the harsh reality of the world. The same sort of Sally that participates in shit like cancel culture. "I don't like that, im offended, so it needs to be removed from the earth in entirety"

Tinkering with a Jeep will inspire you to create all-new sentence enhancers when you see what passes for "engineering" ?

And I do feel that some children should be sheltered from words.

When I saw a mom in Wally World call her ~5 year old daughter a f'n little bitch for something, it was difficult to not say something as I would have been the one at fault if I did.

I can't see how being called that at a young age would help her upbringing.

Once again, it doesn't really bother me because I've heard so much of it.

I have friends who use it so much in common conversation that they don't even realize they're saying it.

That doesn't make it less vulgar in some situations.

And I'm certainly not part of the Politically Correct or Cancel Culture.

So you're saying I should do all my mods to my Jeep while my neighbors are at work? :explode:

I try my best not to cuss but it's very hard sometimes. Working on construction sites for 38 years it becomes second nature. My gf says she's going to put out a jar and every time I cuss I have to drop a dollar into it. Says she'll me a millionaire in no time. :lipssealed:

I'm really not that bad  but you're right I do hate when I hear others doing it especially towards their kids. Makes me realize how I must sound when I do it.

Most forums that don't want swearing use a swear filter.

I've dropped a lot of "shits" and "fucks" here over the last year without so much as a batted eyelash.

What gives?

That's the boat I'm in. I swear like a sailor because I was one for 12 years LOL. I try not to swear around kids but I have slips. My daughter slips up around her kids. I just don't want them talking like that at 10 years old.

There was a few old jokes about this: Everyone has a word the say around kids instead of f@%*. I say F@%*.

If I had a dollar for every time I said F I'd have a $h!t ton of F'ing dollars!

My wife and I pay a subscription to BMW for the ability to use our cell phones and/or a credit card fob to operate the car.

I wouldnt of been able to have the restraint you did when you saw that awful mother so that to her poor little girl.

I would of verbally berated that "woman" until both her and myself defecated ourselves. I love swearing, but swearing AT kids like she did borders on abuse imo.

Well I’m here to tell you the dollar in a jar works. My wife said the same thing so I started my own jar to see. Every time I slipped stuffed a buck in there. Some days it was a 10 spot in one wack! Well, today I’m a millionaire and my Ranger is paid for. Working on my vacation now. Wife keeps asking where my paycheck goes? Well how the f do I know!!! Oops did it again!

Based on the little girl's reaction it wasn't anything new.

And since my constant companion is Murphy's Law, if I had said something it would've been ME getting in trouble.

The mom saw the look on my face and when she realized I'd overheard her she flushed red, out of anger or shame I don't know.

Hopefully shame because it was certainly shameful.

She had 2 smaller kids in her cart. I'm betting they all get the same love and encouragement.

Sad that this happened/happens but I'm guessing anger.....It was Walmart.?
