This past weekend I went to stay at a cabin in the woods....and on my drive back, I opened up my glovebox, and it just showered down with sunflower seed shells! I usually don't keep much food in my vehicles, especially if we go camping/in the woods. But this time I forgot about my pack of sunflower seeds in the glovebox, lesson learned.
My concerns now are two fold:
My concerns now are two fold:
- How the heck did the mouse get into the glovebox? Glovebox was closed the entire time. No evidence that the mouse got in somewhere in the floor. No mouse droppings, nothing. Took the glovebox out and stuck my head inside the dash. No mouse droppings, no evidence of chewing, nothing. There are three avenues I can think a mouse can get into the cab: wiring harness grommet through the firewall in driver footwell, passive vent between cab and bed, or through HVAC ducts. Any other options?
- How can I be sure the mouse is gone? It's been a few days and I haven't noticed any issues with the car in terms of functionality or smell, but I can't say for sure... I've never dealt with having a mouse in my vehicle. Anyone have any tips?
