A white cloudy spot appeared on my backup camera display screen

I've owned the Ranger a year and 3 mos. The backup camera has worked perfectly until yesterday with a very clear image both day & night. I was backing out of the garage and a white cloudy spot appeared on the display screen. Today I did a reset by shutting off the motor, opening the door then locking it and closing it...2 beeps sounded on the horn. Then put it into reverse and the spot dissappeared. Cleaned the display screen and camera lens.

I hope this is just a temporary glitch. Has anyone experienced this issue?

I've never seen that on mine Paul. Are you sure your glasses don't need a good cleaning too? ?

It could have been a reflection of light from another object in the area. It's hard to say for sure.

Good point Jon! I was thinking that too so moved the truck inside (with garage and door opener lights off) and outside the garage. Also tried to shade the display with my hand in case it was a reflection but the spot remained

Strangest digital glitch I've ever seen. Looks almost physical, like lint or water. Good to hear that it's gone now.

mine either works, doesnt work, or i cant see shit from the rain/snow/mud/salt

I live in a very dry climate and we normally don't get much rain or snow. Very few problems with moisture and rust here. I did wash the truck last week so that might have been a spin off from that? Hopefully here today and gone tomorrow!

How did you get ahold of my photo?
The camera recall ended for Mar of 2020 builds and mine was built in May of 2020 so didn't qualify

Actually, I have a white cloudy spot that appeared on mine a couple of days ago and is still there. My son updated everything for me the and the screen actually looked brighter and clearer. Then, this white cloud appeared.?‍ I don’t know what the heck!
