Hello all! The Saga continues. I had a camera overnighted to me for about $60. I put it in and wow clear as day!
One BIG issue. No trajectory or guidelines and the zoom trailer button doesn't work anymore. The setting to enable/disable the lines is also gone from the menu.
Sounds like when replacing hardware you will need a dealer recalibration?
I was worried about that, Hopefully the dealer will do it under warranty.

I'll tag onto this thread.
My previous vehicle rarely had issues with visibility from the rear camera. Yes, when it was raining, it will get wet, but dry was find. My new ranger with our rainy, atmospheric rivers seems to get wet and then spotted much more than I'm used to and I'm always cleaning it.
Anyone have an idea how to stop these spots. I have tried rain X, graphene wax, etc.
TIA.
Wipe it off with your finger?

Just wanted to wrap this diatribe up. I downloaded ForScan Lite and paid the $7 license fee. Connected my old Veepeek Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and went into Service mode. Selected Local Interconnect Network New Module Calibration and let it rip. It has you turn off and back on ignition and boom. Lines are back!

Wooo! So total cost was about $70 and saved myself a trip to the dealer and then wasting my time. And go figure my 22k Ford points hit my account this morning lol.

Oh and also I am pitch black in this photo so the quality looks bad, but trust me it is sooooo much better.

I did not know there was a zoom feature. Went back to the manual: “Only the centerline shows when you enable manual zoom. Selectable settings for this feature are zoom in (+) and zoom out (-). Press the symbol on the camera screen to change the view. The default setting is zoom off. This allows you to get a closer view of an object behind your vehicle. The zoomed image keeps the bumper in the image to provide a reference. The zoom is only active while the transmission is in reverse (R).”
