I'm guessing that the slamming thing is also a SuperCrew thing?
My SuperCab seems to be normal.
mine not... if u not slam them u have to go back to car when u realize the door isn‘t closed completely and so they wont lock...

Is it just me, or does everyone getting out of the Ranger slam the doors? Are they too light? Am I too sensitive to this dilemma? I thought about adding some Sound Deadening to the doors for sound, but also to make them a bit heavier. Im gonna strangle my kid if she slams my door again!!!!!
OMG...its not just you. I finally have my wife trained to NOT slam the passenger door. But Damn !!! Everyone else is still slammin em every....single......time ! Jeez

My adult daughter owned Govt Motors vehicles for years and you had to slam the doors. The whole family gained the habit. I simply remind them before exiting to not slam the door. Maybe over time it will sink in.

Mine is new and if you don’t slam em they stay open. And the chime starts doors are open. I’m hoping after time that they close easier.

I remember my Dad saying "they built the doors to fit, you don't have to make them fit". They slam them. I give them hell about it

The kids slam the hell out of the rear doors no matter how often I remind then not to. Wife likes to fling open the passenger door and let it bounce off the limiter. I guess I should have bought an old beater instead.
Probably just take doors off and tie a piece of rope across opening?

This drives my nuts, my wife and my kid feel it’s necessary to test the structural integrity of the door on our 21 Ranger. I swear it’s the thin body panels.

If a door is open while another is being closed, it will shut harder than when all doors are closed due to lack of air damping...other than that, it's best to try and educate wife/kids about respecting your rides...my family knows I'm meticulous with all my vehicles so not even a finger print on the door is allowed...doors closing by one finger on the exterior trim...25 years of marriage and never have to fight over this... ?

OT but I cringe when I see vehicles with the passenger's bare feet against the inside of windshield...I can only imagine the inside of their homes...?

I've had two different girlfriends crack my windshield doing that!! Neither of 'em were worth it.

And I'm with you guys and the door slammin'! My wife can't seem to figure it out. Granted, it's hasn't been two weeks yet, and she is trying. But car doors slamming are a pet-peeve of mine, as is the horn beep to those who need audible confirmation that the alarm is set. Three or four times in a row doesn't make it extra secure either.

This bothers me too. Some people do slam hard and some don't. I think it is because some feel it takes a lot of pressure to get a door closed and haven't learned by experience that it is not necessary :)

Probly because she's mad at you for something. She's thinkin "Imagine if AzScorpion's hand is between this door and the frame. WHAM! HA! TAKE THAT!"
Lol jk ?
Funny story…

I was getting out of the back seat of an older sedan and grabbed the outside of the B pillar just as my “friend“ was slamming the front door shut and had just let go of it - too late to stop it and the door closed on my hand - and it was locked - everyone was freaking out - our dates were screaming - my friend was cringing and fumbling with the keys - they were yelling at him to hurry up!!!

Oddly, it had such a huge rubber seal and flimsy window frame that the frame flexed on my fingers but let the door latch catch. I wasn’t injured but it was definitely a scary moment at first! ?
