As many of you know Ford doesn’t put any sound deadening mat or material on the backside of the door skins of these rangers in most cases. Don’t get mad, get even; here’s how to fix: Tools and supplies needed:
I won’t go into how to take the door panel off there’s many YouTube videos for that.
Use care in removing this foam moisture barrier as they rip easily.
Pro tip. The two handle screws are pretty deep in the door panel. Put some masking tape on the screws to hold them to n the drill for reinsertion.
my foam job looks pretty ugly because this stuff is actually very runny at first, You could use any expandable foam but I think the yellow stuff would look even uglier then what I did here ha ha! Finished product sounds amazing though. I’ve now got a Lexus Ranger!!
