Blacked out fender vents

I finally did my side vents last night and they came out pretty good. I used that new product from Plasti-dip called HyperDip. The only complaint I have is when you are applying the product in a downward spray situation it tends to spit sometimes which can cause large droplets to form on the sprayed surface. They recommend 6-8 coats....I put on 9 coats. I ordered the emblem and badge blackout kit which comes with 2 cans of HyperDip spray and a can of cleaner. I only used 1 3/4 cans to do the vents. I'm going to order 1 more can and do my skid plate.

How are you guys removing those to paint or replace? I am mechanically inclined but when I am working with plastic and trying to remove something where you can't see how to remove them I will likely break them Does the Ranger and Lariat pop off then the actual vent? Thanks,

The whole matte plastic inner section tabs into the painted surround then the tabs are melted. The smaller section with the trim level nameplate (lariat, xlt) is similarly tabbed into the middle section (the three tabs in the square holes are the nameplate") and then it's tabs are melted. It will require drilling/cutting the tabs to separate them if you wish to do so. Then you'll need to find an effective way of re attaching them

I called so many dealers looking for one that had them in stock, so they could verify they were the right one (the parts catalog only shows them as outlines, so it's hard to verify a color)

I was going to order them through you guys, I got my FP tune and my engine cover through you. But after asking that other dealer to go pull the part and check to make sure they were the right one I'd have felt guilty not giving them my business.
