Well, that video post gives him a damper and a power pull up cable, so he's like forward/reverse dampered
Then Al would look like this. One large arm form pulling up and one skinny arm like us from having a damper. ?

Does anyone know how to properly store a Clay Bar?

I used a new Clay Bar and stored the remaining unused portion in a Zip Lock bag. When I got it out the other day to use, it was stuck to the bag. One source said to soak it in water to loosen it and that made it worse. Any solutions? Thanks.
I use the Meguier's kit and it comes with a little plastic box to store it in.
Did my late sister-in-law's car a couple weeks ago.
(Wife's sister passed away from cancer at 53, left her car to her nephew and she wanted me to fix it up for him since it mostly sat for 6 months and I'm the car guy in the family. New battery and a set of tire pressure sensors but otherwise it looks good.)
It's red and you couldn't really see any tar but man did a lot of crud come off with the clay bar.

Jon,
Do you have any problem with it sticking to the plastic box? The Clay Bar I'm using now is an Adams but the old one I think was Meguier's and it didn't stick to the Zip lock at all. It might be the type of material used or a quality issue. I'm going to try the clay mitts or towels next time per Dave's suggestion.

Paul, it could be because we're in a much drier area than Jon as he's in PA. Do you store yours in the garage? I try to store most of my detailing products inside in a closet. My garage will get over 110 for most of the summer and if you read the labels that's way to hot for most products as they'll break down...or burst into flames here. lol

It doesn't get insanely hot here either although once mine and the wife's parents are gone we plan on moving somewhere insanely hot. Hate winter.

Dave, I also store them inside the house in a closet. The reason for this is we get several freezes in the winter and this also can be detrimental to some chemicals.

Brandon, one thing you can never (almost never) have enough of...towels of various caliber. If you aren't signed up to get sales info, The Rag Company is a good source, so is Adam's Polishes. One more is some of Amazon Basics items are eerily similar

If you have never tried the Griots Garage Clay embedded orbital pad it’s a game changer. This and some speed shine takes that 1hour process down to about 20 minutes.

https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/surface+prep+pad.do?from=Search&cx=0

I’m a Griots fan and have used them since the 3M professional stuff got to be too expensive.

This is my “new to me 2019 XLT” after wash, clay, polish, wax. (All Griots products bought off their website). Three weeks ago.
