I have been reading about detailing and watching You Tube videos on it. First off I am not a total detail nut, but I don’t want to skip important steps.
Right now I have a base coat of McQuires Hybrid Ceramic was on the truck. When I go to make it look good, these are the steps I follow:
spray wash it clean
foam it with a spray cannon
two bucket hand wash with a mitt
rinse off with pressure washer
spray on the hybrid wax
rinse off again
blow dry it with a leaf blower
final dry and polish with a microfiber towel and a detailer spray
In my readings at one point they talk about adding a glaze and a paint sealant. How important are they? Do you do that every time?
I understand clay bars and synthetic clay mitts and why they are used, but is this like a once a year activity?
Thanks
btw - reading other posts, Pan the Organizer got panned. I saw his top 3 2020 list for detailing products and I never heard of half of them. I am certainly out of the detailing loop.
